I feel so handicapped without the PC and internet
Get ready for a long post, coz I haven't updated my LJ over the weekend.
Damn, my PC's still out of whack, and I still haven't figured out what's wrong with the damn thing. Good thing I talked to Aris yesterday. He might take a look at it when he comes to visit his girlfriend, Erin (who lives just a few blocks from my house).
Anyway, so what happened since I last posted?
So I went to the teachers training seminar last Saturday. I didn't know how to get there, so I sent Ria a message the day before to ask for directions. Instead, she replied that she'll just let me hitch a ride with her to the venue. Goody.
So Ria called me last saturday morning to tell me what time and where we'll be meeting. We agreed to meet in Starbucks ATC, so it's easier to meet, plus, Joy and Dein (Ari's brother) will also be hitching a ride with her. Eheheheheh, just when I hopped on an FX taxi in South Mall, Dein boards the same FX. ^_^
Anyway, so what happened when we got to GCF (Greenhills Christian Fellowship)? I finally met Ana Valdes-Lim, who wrote the book "Workshop, A Manual on Acting" that I had since high school. She was the one who conducted the seminar. What's more is that Miss Bernice and Miss Chari, who were invovled in Proof, were also there. The whole 2 hours was actually pretty fun. It was just like a regular workshop. I was the youngest and newest person there, but it was pretty OK.
Yesterday morning, my mom saw in the newspaper that it was the last day of a 3-day sale in ATC. I got to convince her to take advantage of the sale, so she sent me out to buy new shoes. Goody. When I got to ATC, I ran into DJ, who was practically there almost everyday. I drafted him into helping me look for all the shoe stores so I can browse all of them. Heheheheh, I had him help me with the final decision too. I ended up getting this P400 pair of loafers other than this other par of loafers that cost P1040. Oh well.
Deej and I also looked at some cellphones. I finally saw what the 3350 looks like, and when I asked for the price, it's actually P7000! Hmm..not bad. I could use the money I would get from Playshop. ^_^
Since I still had money left over, I decided to go to South Mall to buy socks, coz it's much cheaper there (plus it's also the last day of their 3-day sale). I had no choice but to go into the department store. And to think that I never go in there coz it's always so full of people. Well, good thing I did go in. I got 9 pairs of trouser socks and a couple of belts.
Oh yeah, I asked Jamie last night about me taking a Playshop class aside from assisting a different one. He told me that I have a scholarship coz I'm assisting a class. Goody.
Not bad for a weekend of no PC and internet, huh? At least there were lotsa things that kept me busy.
Now I'm hoping that there'll be no DULAPIL class later. ^_^
