back from Baguio
Yep, I'm finally back, and this li'l thing needs a major update.
Well, I didn't get to hang out much with Ari last Friday because he's working on a project presentation with his blockmates. Darn, we're overdue for some alone time.
So I decided to go to ATC instead. I guess I was pretty lucky. Zyra sent me a message that she'll be in ATC with Dior, and invited me to come along. Well, what happened after that turned into an impromptu Playshop reunion. We ended up hanging with a lot more people, such as Amabel, Anna, Mikki, Eric (with our other friend Miguel), and Alex. Man, now I know how a babysitter feels. ^_^ Just kidding. Well, I was the eldest one in the group, so I felt kinda weird. Too bad Kris and Lawyn couldn't make it.
Now for the weekend's highlight.
So Karlo picked me up at my house at around 5 in the morning and we went to his house to wait for Ben and Mark (Ben's the one who brought the transpo). We loaded all our stuff in the car and left for Roxas, where we'll be picking up Karlo's girlfriend Domini from her graveyard shift at the hotel she's working at. I hardly knew Domini before this trip, probably because I was kinda intimidated by her coz she looks like a snob (but really, she's not).
Anyway, after Domini, we were off to UST to pick up Joanne (she lives near the college). Man, it's been a long time since I last saw her and she hasn't changed a bit. Then it's all the way to Angeles, where we took a short stopover at Chowking for a light snack and bathroom break.
After that was the 6-hour drive all the way to Baguio. Man, my butt felt numb after a few hours. Arg. I hate it when that happens. Plus when we were going up, my ears were popping the whole time, and I completely forgot that I had gum in my pocket to chew during times like those. Nyak. ^_^
We reached Baguio City at around 2 in the afternoon and checked in at the Concorde Hotel. Pretty nice, and it felt pretty good to stand up stretch once again. After checking in, and fixing the room assignments (Karlo and Domini in one room while the rest of us in the bigger one), we just settled in, watched TV, munch on pistachios. Goody, we have cable TV in our room. ^_^
Then at around 4 pm, we left for the cathedral, because Joanne wanted to hear Mass (Palm Sunday). It was so crowded and when we got there, the 4 pm Mass was almost over. We decided to stay for the next one, but Ben, Marc, Karlo and Domini mysteriously disappeared. Oh well. Joanne and I stayed for the Mass, while the rest went out to get Visine for Joanne's eye (her right eye was all red) and a prepaid card for me (I decided to reload before calling Ari so I have more time ^_^).
After Mass, Joanne, Domini and I decided to check out the ukay-ukay (thrift shop) that we passed by earlier. Nothing looked good. Oh well. So we all went to a nearby Pizza Hut for dinner. Ooooh, 2 Supreme pizzas with Cheesy Crust. Yum! ^_^
When we were full (bloated is more like it) from eating, we went to a couple of convenience stores so they could all buy some gin and stuff for that night. Well, good thing they didn't bug me about being clean and sober anymore. They know I'm already a hopeless case.
When we returned to the hotel, we all took baths and changed into sleepwear so they could finally kick back and have a few drinks. Domini, tired from her graveyard shift, decided to retreat to her room and catch up on her sleep. When the rest poured out the drinks, I started channel surfing. Heheheheh, when I tuned in to Star Movies, Bedazzled was on, and suddenly the guys stopped drinking and watched the movie instead. Joanne, on the other hand, took a little nap.
In the middle of the movie, I got a missed call from Ari, which means that I can finally give him a call. So I left the room and went to the veranda so we could finally talk. We talked for at least half an hour, talking about our summer schedules, how I was doing and all that. The guys decided to play Counterstrike somewhere while I was still on the phone, so I was left with Joanne.
My fingers are getting tired. I'll finish this later. I'm off to class.
