Seven Shots on Wednesday: "What's New, Pussycat?"

7 questions on what's new with you:

1. Anything new about you? Hair? Look? Style?

Compared to when? I just grew my hair out over the summer, and got new contact lenses after 5 months of wearing glasses.

2. What new song do you fancy right now?
Maybe the songs in Lea Salonga's Broadway concert CD.

3. What kind of new stuff have you bought lately? CDs, DVDs, books, etc.?
Lea Salonga's Broadway concert CD, a couple of pairs of pants and blouses. Oh yeah, and Lawyn and I are planning on buying matching black jackets soon.

4. Learn anything new recently?
I've learned that I need to branch out more. And that I gotta get out of this house soon.

5. Who's your new crush or object of affection?
Sorry to disappoint. I don't have anyone new. I'm still as loyal as a dog.

6. Have you met anyone new who's cool and interesting?
Lots. Especially people from Trumpets. I made a whole new bunch of friends who are cool and interesting in their own different ways. I like them so much because they're not like the "bitches" of YFC-CSB, who like to keep to themselves a lot.

7. Has something new happened in your life? If not, what new thing would you like to happen?
Nothing new has happened yet. I've been offered another internship for Atlantis' production of Tick Tick Boom but I turned it down. Right now, I'm just waiting for something big to happen. Like move out of my house and live on my own. I can't stand living with my 'rents breathing down my beck all the time.

Like right now. The female unit of my parentals is acting like such a bitch lately for now good reason.

I just got the Friday Five this morning.

1. Where are you right now?
In front of the PC. Heck, it's a weekend and I have no life.

2. What have you lost recently?
I lost the oppotunity to work backstage with Krystal, Rony, Miss Bernice, and director Bobby Garcia in Tick Tick Boom. I'm also losing my mind right now.

3. What was the first CD you ever purchased? Does that embarrass you now?
Man, I forgot which of my CD was the first one I bought. I guess it's one of the Backstreet Boys albums. Wow, I forgotten how it feels to be a teeny bopper.

4. What is your favorite kind of writing pen?
I used a mechanical pencil for a couple of term last year, but now I'm back with my trusty Parker pen that's been with me since 1999. It's kinda broken now, but I still don't want to part with it.

5. What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
BTIC's strawberry. I loved strawberry ice cream ever since I was a kid coz it's not too sweet. And I'm hooked on BTIC anyway. ^_^

Man, it's been raining the whole morning. I wonder what I'll do today. Should I clean my room? Heheheheheh.

Oh yeah, Ben's birthday party will be at Karlo's house tonight. And tonight's the same night as Bea's birthday party at her own house. I'm not sure if I want to go to either one.

It's been raining all day and there's nothing to do. I thought I could catch Ari online today, but he sent me a text message saying that he's busy today fixing up for his party.

So now the tables have turned.

Yesterday he didn't tell me that he was going to the DLSU pep squad's welcoming party, and I waited the whole afternoon just so I could go home with him. Nyak, I ended up going home alone. And not even one message that night.

Then there's today. He didn't even tell me about a party. Oh well.

And I can't seem to access my Yahoo mail today.

Maybe I should've just stayed in bed. Now that's a good idea. I'll log off right now.

Well, classes are suspended today because of the typhoon. Goody. I'm not yet in the mood to go to school yet anyway.

Hmmm, I wonder if people are avoiding me in Yahoo Messenger lately. People log off once I start logging in. I guess that's why I'm always in invisible mode right now.

Well, I got a text message from Luis earlier that classes are still suspended tomorrow from grade school to college. Wow. And to think that I'm running out of things to do here at home. I've been on and off the PC all day. And if I'm not online, I'm just stationed in front of the TV.

Since I haven't heard anything about classes being suspended again today, I guess I'll be going to school. Well, it's not really that bad, when I think about it. I'm getting kinda tired with this extended weekend because there's nothing to do. Plus my mom doesn't want me to go out as much anymore. Jeez, and and to think that I'm 20 years old already. What the heck does she want me to do here at home other than to rot inside the house? At least I have more fun in school than wasting my time in front of the tube or the PC. And I get to go out whenever I want when it's a school day.

And now I'm rambling again. I gotta shut up.

Nyak, and the sky is getting dark outside. Great.

I have nothing to do here in school right now, so I'm just in the computer lab, surfing the net. Man, nothing ever happens on Thursdays.

My mom might not come home tonight, coz she'll be staying with my grandmother at the hospital. I heard that Mamang* has a fever, but why she's in the hospital, they haven't told me yet.

Ems told me earlier about applying for this free trip to Germany for one week. It sounds pretty cool, and what's more is that it's free. The only catch is that they can only send 9 people from the Philippines. Arg. I wonder is this is the trip to Germany that Neilson took last year. Nah, it can't be. All of them in the group were from CSB. I wonder when do I get my chance to travel. I already got so jealous of Rosa and Luis for signing up at IFS (Institute for Foreign Study). Rosa got to go to England for a month, while Luis went to France for about a year (I'm not so sure about that). Arg. I've always wanted to apply at IFS, but my 'rents don't have that kind of money to send me abroad. Heck, they didn't even let me go study theatre arts for college in California or even Seattle 3 years ago.

Arg. I wanna travel.

My mom might stay at the Manila Sanitarium/Hospital tonight with my grandparents. Oh well.

I went with my mom to the Sanitarium last Friday night as soon as I got home. Kuya Nonong picked us up and drove us home as well. When we got there, I found out that my grandmother is in the ICU while my grnadfather is in a different hospital suite in the same floor. Most of my relatives know that Mamang will leave us sometime sooner or later. I got to take a little peek inside the ICU though I was kinda afraid to go.

I have to admit, I don't know my grandmother very well. I'm closer to Grandma, my paternal grandmother(she died a couple of years ago in the room that used to be my bedroom. Anyway, Grandma lived with us, took care of me ever since I was born, and even taught me how to play card games. Mamang was way different. She was from Zambales, and hardly spoke a word of Tagalog. I could only understand what she was saying if she spoke in English. Plus, since she's also suffering Alzheimer's disease, she almost always forgets who I am.

While I was bumming around at home early yesterday afternoon, my mom called, telling me to come to the Sanitarium again. So Kuya Nonong picked me up again. Halfway there, he asked me if I wanted to see his firstborn son (who was born a couple of weeks ago). Well, of course, I couldn't refuse. He picked up Ate Neneng first at the Sanitarium then off we went to Our Lady of Lourdes hospital, where little Gabriel Joshua Loba is temporarily staying. Aw, I didn't get to see him, coz he's still in the incubator.

Anyway, since we got hungry, we decided to stop by Harrison Plaza first to eat and buy some groceries. Heheheh, I got to eat at Tokyo Tokyo for free. ^_^

Now I wonder what's to do today. I got so bored this morning that I pulled my hair up so that it looks as if I cut my hair really short again. Heheheheh, I wonder if I should wear my hair this way on Wednesday.

I must be really bored. I've been doing nothing all day but sitting on my bum in front of the PC or just watching movies on TV on and off.

Speaking of movies, Karl mentioned this CCP-based film club that will be holding a "by the bay" event at the abandoned film center near GSIS at the end of the month. Well, I'm more into theater than film, but having done film a bunch of times, I'm pretty intrigued. I'm thinking of watching some of the classic movies that they're gonna show. I wonder if the weather will agree to this. Plus, that film center is rumored to be haunted. During our YFC-CSB fellowship at CCP, Khalil dared us to bike all the way there and go as far as we can. Nyak, we all ended up hanging out at the base of the ramp and stairs in front just for five minutes.

I wonder, if I was lugging my video camera while I biked over to the center, would I have been able to catch some ghosts on tape?

OK, enough of that, I'm creeping myself out already by the mere thought of that.

I caught the halftime show of the DLSU-FEU game this afternoon. It showed the DLSU pep squad, coz they were the ones who were leading. Ari's just a spotter that day, so he wasn't performing. I think I saw him for a moment with his arms crossed in front his chest, but I wasn't sure it was him. Heather, on the other hand, being right in front, got to have a "shining moment" in front of the camera for quite a while.

Heheheheh, I can't wait to watch Lilo & Stitch. That Stitch creature looks so adorable no matter how creepy he looks. I've been seeing lotsa ads showing Stitch, like those teasers in the Disney Channel, such as him breaking the Mickey shapes and putting it back, and those trailers with him among the other Disney animated movies. Heheheh, and when I thought that wasn't enough, I find him in at least 3 pages in the W.I.T.C.H. comic I just bought.

Speaking of W.I.T.C.H., I have a feeling I'm gonna get a little bit addicted to that comic. I got so fascinated with it when I saw it in Candy magazine, showing a 5-page preview of it. I liked the drawings so much that I wanted to buy it. Well, I did. And it's so cool to find out that they're made by Filipinos. Cool!

Ooh, Ed's online... *chats with Ed* ...Nyak, he went off to pack his stuff. He'll be leaving Canada for Manila in a few hours. I can't wait to see him. The guy still owes me lots of updates and a free lunch or dinner. I wonder where it'll be this time? The last time he came here, it was at Gerry's. The last time we talked about it, we're thinking of Italian food, like in Bravo Cafe. I miss the food there. Reminds me of working backstage in Proof.

*More About Ogopogo

  • Ogopogo is a Canadian Lake Monster who apparently lives in the lake in my town. Ogopogo has not been seen all that often (at least not reliably) but it sure is popular around here! It even has it's own stupid looking statue on the beach, and a man who recently swum the entire length of the Okanagan Lake claims to have seen several ogopogos on his trip.
  • Ogopogo is a harmless creature with a long, snake-like body and a goat-like head. He's very very big, (15-20 feet long) but the lake is also unusually deep for a lake, so no worries about cramping.
Although ogopogo is harmless, he has drowned a couple of horses back in the 1800s. Ogopogo was acknoledged by local natives, who called him n'haaitk. They used to leave sacrifices of small animals for him by the lake, by his supposed lair, an bunch of submarine caves.

    Go figure.

You're a hopeless romantic. You fall in love easily and quickly, and often have your heart broken. You like romantic movies, books, and you're always trying to think of some way to wow your honey. People call you sentimental or idealistic, and sometimes they even make some comment about they might vomit if they have to listen to go on and on any more. Phew. Some day, though, you will make someone very happy.

I just came from the dentist. Funny, I remember how terrified I was to go to the dentist when I was a kid. All I ever thought about going to the dentist was to have my teeth pulled out. I once tried to hide out outside the dentist's office but I got so tired of waiting too long that I gave up. The moment I emerged from my hiding place, the receptionist finally called my name. I had to surrender.

Now I actually like going to the dentist. Well, that's an understatement. I only go when I have to. Well, I don't have perfect teeth, but at least I still have all my teeth. My cousin Beverly's teeth fell out because her dentist's assistant got too careless with the flouride or something. Now she's forced to start college with dentures. Yikes.

During NATSC11 class this afternoon, Bing announced something for the students who are taking LIGHDES under Sir Shax. We were required to watch a play in CCP tomorrow evening, or we go to Meralco Theater and take an OJT. Now of course, I knew that the OJT will be for The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, and this is one job I really can't resist. The last we heard from Sir Shax, he needed 3 people for the job. When Bing was asking around this afternoon, she was deciding between me and Kat. Well, I knew that she was gonna choose Kat over me, because I already had experience last term, plus there's the "friend factor". She didn't say how many people were already chosen, but I knew that Bing already chose a couple of her close friends from the block to take those slots.

Despite the many reasons that I can't take another OJT for this term (my social life, my parents, YFC activities), I really want this one. A professional musical production with lotsa people. And it's with Trumpets. I could hang out with Jamie, Dein, Chevy, Tita Menchu and Tito Audie again. I wonder how could I get my 'rents to let me. And we're required to to either the CCP play or the OJT tomorrow anyway. I'd rather choose the OJT over going back to CCP anyday.

So I consulted the main man himself. I sent a text message to Sir Shax asking him about the details of the OJT. Then he told me to ask Bing about it. Arg... I know it sounds mean, but Bing has this tendency to be a bitch at times, even to her friends. Heck, if she can do it to Marie Vee, I know she can be worse to someone who's not as close to her. She might not give me anything to work with at all.

Anyway, so I just replied to Sir Shax, thanking him, and then to dig a little, I decided to be subtle and asked if the number of needed people could exceed. When he asked how many people would exceed, I said that I was just asking him about myself. I also added that I'm interested because I'm familiar with the Trumpets people. He ended up calling me, and told me to just go to Meralco tomorrow.

Now how in the world am I gonna break the news to my parents?

It's bad enough that my boyfriend is disappointed that I won't have enough time with him again. (I'm sorry.)

More importantly, how the heck will I find a way to Meralco? I don't even know how to commute all the way there.

Well, I got to go to Meralco theater yesterday all on my own and in one piece. ^_^ It was actually easier than I thought. As for my 'rents, they finally okayed the idea that I'm doing another OJT. Goody.

When I got to the theater, it was freezing cold. I forgot how cold it can get in there. The last time I was backstage was when I was a high school sophomore, when I did The Sound of Music with Dein.

Speaking of which, Dein was actually the first familiar face that I saw there (other than Sir Shax). He arrived there with Chevy. Eheheheh, when they arrived, I started wondering how I'd get home.

So Bing and Mari arrived an hour after I did, and for another hour we just sat near the artists' entrance with Carmen doing nothing, just waiting for Sir Shax to give us further instructions. With Dein's help I found out that we'll be under Edmu, the stage manager. Yikes, I wonder what in the world will we be doing, considering the props were huge.

Well, when we were herded into the theater, the first thing we did was help out the crew remove the wooden planks off the stage. It was put there for the initial design, but then by Mio Infante's demand, we had to take it out because the Wardrobe couldn't move as freely with it. We had to toss the planks into the orchestra pit, take out the nails that were sticking out, and sweep up the sawdust. Oh yeah, and while we were all crawling on the stage, I found out that Dennis, one of guys I worked with backstage in Proof, is a crew member.

Then we had to consult with Sir Shax about our schedule. Well, we managed to make a decent agreement on the schedule that we would fill in each other's jobs whenever one has a class conflict with the schedule.

So we ended up spending the rest of our time (a whole 5 hours) sitting in the audience watching the cast adjust to the stage. Hmmm...I think they changed the lyrics to some of the songs.

Well, when the whole rehearsal was over at 10pm, Chevy suggested that I ride home with Tita Menchu, coz he and Dein were hitching with her as well. Goody, at least I won't be alone when I go home every time. I sure hope Sir Shax or Edmu will let me leave the same time as the cast during the entire rehearsal period and run.

Arg, I developed a slight headache and cold during the night that my head is sort of pounding today. I hope it won't bug me so much later.

My 'rents didn't want me to go to Meralco today because of the storm. And they were complaining how late I arrive from rehearsal and that it's gonna be every night until September.

    *SIGH*

It just goes to show that they still don't (or don't want) to understand the line of work that I'm getting in to. What the heck do they want me to do when I graduate? Do mall shows instead because it doesn't end at night? Hell, no way. Jeez, I can't believe that they agree to let me take this course and then have second thoughts because I stay out late becuase of the work? Hello, that's theater to you. Gr.....

And now they don't want me to go just because of some stupid rain? Heck, it's not even raining right now. It was way worse last night. Jeez. I had to send a text message to Sir Shax earlier, giving some lame excuse that I had the fever. If he found out that I couldn't go becuase my parents didn't want me to, I'd be out of a job fast. And I couldn't afford to lose these precious hours just because of my close-minded parental units.

    Anyway.

The other day, we were assigned to help out with the props. We had to stick the foam flowers to some white fabric attached to umbrella frames, then secure the fabric to the frames wth thread. Ugh, the smell of the rugby made my head spin, and I was developing a slight fever that day (it was gone by yesterday afternoon). Good thing that yesterday, we were "upgraded" to gluing tracing paper to the lanterns. We haven't been doing much yet, just those props, and then just sitting in the audience area behind Bea (a CSB production design graduate who's working in Lion as a spinner) watching the rehearsal.

I just found out the other day that Luz, Lea Salonga's dresser in both Miss Saigon and Proof, will also be working backstage in the wardrobe department. Cool.

But man, I can't wait to graduate and get out of here. I don't care if my parents don't understand what I want to do in life. As long as they stay out of my hair I'll be fine.

    What's Your Inner Demon?

this quiz was made by Melissa

Hahaha. I may be a demon, but I'm still cheerful. Nyak.

Briggs and I were the only ones who came to Meralco yesterday for OJT. Bing, Mari, and Carmen all had classes. And both of us ended up doing nothing. We just sat in the audience, watching the case rehearse Act 2 with Tito Audie as Aslan and Tita Menchu as Jadis. Well, it seems that Tita Menchu's throat is still sore, but at least it's getting better. KC Concepcion (yes, of Little Mermaid fame and Sharon Cuneta's daughter) came for a visit, along with Chinie. Wow, I haven't seen Chinie in a long time. Even Bebeth dropped by, and she's got a lot thinner since the last time I saw her.

Well, I'll be the only intern in Meralco today. Everyone else has class tonight. Arg. And to think that Sir Shax said that he'll be assigning our jobs today. Yikes. I wonder what I'll be doing.

I got home pretty early today, and we interns weren't even expected in Meralco.

I was supposed to have a 6-9 pm class tonight, but since I heard that my teacher won't be coming at all, I decided to come home right away. It's been a while since I did that.

Now I'm bored. What on earth am I going to do? There's nothing much to do here at home.

Anyway, so I went to Meralco alone yesterday. Sir Shax didn't know what to do with me yet, so I sat in the audience area as usual. When the cast started coming in, I went backstage to ask Sir Shax if I'm needed somewhere. He passed me to Dobi, the ASM (assistant stage manager). Dobi then told me that I could be the one to draw the black curtain that conceals one half of the wardrobe when it pulls apart. Cool. When I saw where I was to be stationed, it was just a small corner with a chair, and with exit heading backstage. That means that if I leave my post, I would be seen by the entire audience. Eep. Oh well, at least I get to watch the entire show. ^_^ Anyhoo, we didn't do it last night, because they're still fixing the curtains. So I got to sit in the audience again. Well, I sure hope I'll still get assigned to that post. Since I know that show backwards and forwards, I already know that I'll be working the curtain rope about 5 times (3 times in the beginning of Act 1, and twice in the ending of Act 2). ^_^

Mmmm...I'm getting addicted to those cheese logs with salsa that they're selling at Plaza V this week. And now I'm craving for them again. I wonder where they got the salsa stuff. It makes a good dip for chips.

I'm here in the iNook, just killing time before HISART. Wow, it seems pretty cold in here right now. If you look at the windows, you can't see a thing outside because of the mist forming on the glass.

Arg, I'm having a hard typing typing right now, because for a while I had this insane idea of growing my nails long again. And now I'm not used to it. I gotta cut them soon, coz I know I'm gonna break them anyway if I get to work in Lion.

Speaking of which, I wonder what time will the others go to Meralco. *sends text message to Mari*

Hmmm...should I jump into the pinoybloggers group blog? I don't know anyone there yet. Oh well, what the heck. I'll sign up when I have the time. I'm lucky enough to update this journal now that I'm pretty busy again.

Damn these nails. I swear, I'm gonna cut them tomorrow morning. Too bad I didn't bring my nail cutter with me today.

Hey, PinoyCentral has an article about Lion. Check it out.

Sir Shax told Carmen and me (we were the only ones who came yesterday) to come in today as early as possible. The call time for the cast is at 1pm today, because they're gonna rehearse in full make-up and costume. I think Icko just drafted me into the make-up team yesterday.

So my job is to pull the ropes for the curtain that conceals the right half of the wardrobe in stage right (meaning I have to wear gloves because it hurts pulling the curtain with my bare hands). Not a very exciting job, but at least I get to watch the show from the wings. And I could hang out with the cast who are on standby at stage right. Most of them are there anyway. Dein introduced me to a whole bunch of them yesterday while I was sitting around checking my right palm (my left hand was protected with a driving glove that I borrowed from Dennis).

While I was watching a scene from backstage yesterday, Chevy happened to be standing next to me, telling me something about what he did when he was the one who played Edmund. Heheheheh, I admittedly told him that during his "Deep Within" scene with Tito Audie in the '98 run, I was so touched with the scene that I had tears in my eyes. So funny to see his shocked and flattered expression. Haven't seen that expression from you in a looong time, Chev.

Arg, it's raining buckets again today.

My left eye is kinda swollen. I've been really stubborn about wearing my contacts lately, and I've been keeping them on for longer periods of time than I usually do, so my eyes get red and irritated. So now my left eye is kinda swollen and I have to wear my glasses to the theater today. Arg.

So we had our run-through yesterday with the make-up and costumes. Our make-up room was so chaotic. When the people had thinned out, I just sat there watching the rest of the team because I don't know how to do the rest of the animals outside our color code group. Heheheheh, Joseph, the guy who plays Fenris Ulf, got his wolf's nose for the first time yesterday. Once it was attached, he kept growling at everyone wherever he went. One big disadvantage with the prosthetics was that there was only this small opening for the mouth that he can't eat if he wanted to. Hopefully he had dinner before he had his make-up done.

Goody, I brought gloves yesterday so pulling the rope for the black curtain and the snow was easy. Lucky Bing followed me to stage right so she could cue me when to pull the curtain. And it really helped that she was there because stage right is where Lucy, Edmund, Peter and Susan (in that order) had to quick costume changes. Luz couldn't do it all alone and I can't do it either because I might not reach the curtain in time after dressing them up.

All in all, the run-through was fine. Except maybe when the sword that Paolo uses in the sword fight with Fenris got bent. Tito Audie had to bend it back before he dubbed him.

Anyway, I gotta get going. I'm due at Meralco at noon today.

My grandma died sometime this morning. My mom woke me up and told me so, and that she and Dad will be out the whole day, leaving me home alone. What's more is that since Mamang's remains will be taken to Sta. Cruz, Zambales, my 'rents will go there as well. And I get stuck here at home with no one else around. Yikes. Good thing Mom and Dad decided to call Tita Beng to come over from Palawan as soon as possible. I swear, if they leave me all alone in this house the whole time they'll be in Zambales, it's gonna be a mess. I'll be too busy with school and Narnia (that's what we sometimes call Lion for short) to take care of the entire house.

I think I have a sore throat. I wonder where I got it. And this time, it's my right eye that's irritated. Arg.

On a lighter note, we had our TDR (technical dress rehearsal) yesterday with an audience of orphans and a handful of our LIGHDES classmates (Mari, Lei, 'Riz, and Dave). Well, in the make-up room, it wasn't as chaotic as before, because most of the cast learned how to do their own make-up (Icko told them yesterday to learn how so they could do their own by the time opening night comes). Anyway, since everyone was pretty busy, I wandered around, noticing that Bing was nowhere in sight. So I figured she was with Johann to help him with his make-up. So I went upstairs to the ensemble cast's dressing rooms and bummed around, watching Bing do Johann's leopard make-up. Nyak, I ended up helping Jamie with his jackal make-up, and it felt like groping around in the dark, because Icko just decided on his make-up yesterday, making it up as he went along. Jamie did his best in trying to remember it, then I had to paint his face in green, black and white. Then Mio took over, revising the entire design Icko came up with.

Anyway, the run was pretty much OK. We had a video monitor in stage right so we could see the stage from the audience's point of view. The shot was pretty far, though, and I could hardly see a thing.

I gotta get some more rest. I slept until noon today, and I still don't feel well rested. I still feel as if I got run over by a steam roller. Arg.

I miss Ari. I miss him even more everytime I see Dein in Meralco. Crazy, isn't it? Instead of spending time with my boyfriend, I spend a lot more time with his brother these days.

My entire life flashed before my eyes 3 hours ago.

My mom asked me to go to Tita Elvie's house tonight to visit the wake. I left my house at around 7 pm and hopped on a jeepney to Tita Elvie's village. I felt uneasy about the guy sitting beside me (who was sitting beside the jeep's entrance) because he seemed drunk and brushed against my shoulder for a moment. Now I learned not to be too paranoid when commuting, but I really felt weird about this guy. So I inched away from him, started praying, and felt so relieved when a guy entered the jeep and sat down between us. During about the third of the trip, the weirdo guy started punching the metal sheet at the corner window. The two women sitting across from the guy kept glancing at him from time to time, and I was getting really paranoid. When there was a slight traffic jam somewhere before Moonwalk, I noticed the guy take something out of his pocket. The two women then looked at each other and smiled strangely. When the guy got off at Moonwalk, all of us in that area (the two women, the guy sitting next to them, the guy sitting next to me, and myself) breathed a sigh of relief. As it turns out, what the crazy guy took out of his pocket was a pair of nail clippers, with the sharp metal part out.

Then they all started telling each other what they were thinking, and they were all thinking the same thing--that the weirdo guy wanted to sit next to me. One of the women was really nervous about the guy, especially because she was pregnant. The guy sitting next to them said that the weirdo wanted to switch seats with him. Same with the guy sitting next to me, but he was more afraid of the pointed part of the nail clippers. Man, so was I. I was quiet the whole time the group was talking, and I was silently praying again, thankful that my prayers were heard. Then I started telling myself never to take public transportation again.

Then I realized that I have no choice but to take public transportation everyday. So I started cursing how unsafe public transportation is. Good thing Kuya Bobot commuted with me on the way back home.

I'm so glad I'm still alive and safe.

My grandpa expired yesterday afternoon. I guess he really wanted to be with Mamang, and everyone had already accepted the fact that they were ready to go. I'm still not sure if they're leaving already for Zambales today or at a later date, though.

On a lighter note, I just found out that Lea's engaged! I bet Anna already knows about this.

I met up with Ari yesterday after my first class. He insisted when we talked on the phone the night before after I told him what had happened on the jeep. I guess he wanted to know that I was really all right. Man, I'm still freaked out by the jeep incident.

So today's the first press preview night of Lion. Our first full audience. Coolies. I guess I won't be able to sneak into the audience area tonight. That's what I did last night when I had nothing to do. Plus I gotta remember Jamie's re-revised jackal make-up. Icko told me how it's done, and I have to remember how he did it.
