Friday five and other things
This week's Friday Five.
1. What is your current occupation? Is this what you chose to be doing at this point in your life? Why or why not?
I'm a student/theater apprentice right now, and I'm enjoying both pretty much. The biggest challenge is trying to juggle them both along with the rest of my life, which I haven't figured out yet. Yup, this is my decision, and I'm loving every moment of it.
2. If time/talent/money were no object, what would your dream occupation be?
I'd still be in theater, both onstage and off.
3. What did/do your parents do for a living? Has this had any influence on your career choices?
My mom was a teacher, and my dad was an engineer for an airline. Nope, not really. My career choice is so different from the rest of my family's that they never seem to understand it at all.
4. Have you ever had to choose between having a career and having a family?
Sort of. Maybe my love life and my career-in-the-making. My boyfriend is convinced that I always put theater first ahead of him.
5. In your opinion, what is the easiest job in the world? What is the hardest? Why?
I have no idea. There really is no easy or hard job, in my opinion, because if you love your work, it's pretty easy, and if it's otherwise, it's tough.
Anyhoo.
So I was stationed at the stage right headset tonight. Plus I still had to do the curtains and the snow. It was OK. Dobi was always there to talk me through everything, from cueing the actors to listening to Sir Edmu's instructions. Arg, next time, I won't wear my glasses when I'm wearing the headset. I enjoyed it even though I was standing the whole time I was there, with the feeling of being in charge at that place.
