course card distribution today
Well, I managed to squeeze in some sleep before I left for school yesterday. Nyak, when I got to the classroom at 8, we didn't start on time because the proctor arrived really late. Oh well.
Then Lei gave me some bad news. We had worked on our share of our LIGHDES project last Wednesday, then we gave it to Ace and Zards to finish. Then Lei gets a message from Ace yesterday morning that he forgot to bring his share to school, even though Lei had reminded him when he was still at home. And then he didn't want to go back home because he was busy editing a video project that was due today. Uhm, hello? How about the project that's due for that particular day? Jeez. What's worse, Zard didn't do a thing. So what we did was we handed the rest of the stuff to Zard so he and Ace can work on it together. What he actually did was just hand it over to Ace at the Multimedia Lab.
So what happened when it was time to submit the entire project? Ace still didn't do a thing and just handed us everything, Zard suddenly disappeared and switched off his phone so we couldn't call him, so Lei and I had to cram everything in front of Sir Shax. And while we were working on it, Ace was just sitting beside us, not even moving a muscle to help. Thanks a lot, guys. And to think that it was Lei and I who didn't get enough sleep the night before.
After school yesterday, I met up with in ATC. I haven't seen him in years, and the last time I talked to him was about a year ago. We just hung around, sat around at Food Choices and talked. Rich, one of my favorite Playshop students (who dropped out because her mom pulled her out for personal reasons), even came by and joined us.
This morning while I was walking from my house to the corner 3 blocks away to get a tricycle, my phone started ringing. It was from a landline, and even though I didn't know who it was, I answered the call. It was Ari, calling from a payphone in school. He said that he was held up when he got to Estrada Street, and was demanded to hand over his phone (which was reutrned to his house by a nice stranger a few days ago) and his wallet to this guy pointing a knife at him. He had reluctantly handed the schmuck his phone, but before he could give him his wallet, Ari said he hit the guy and ran off. Cool move. I met up with him at around noon today. I just wanted to see if he was all right. I'm so glad he was OK.
Oh yeah, course card distribution today. My classmates and I have this big problem with out INTROPD teacher, who came to class only twice this whole term. I heard that we won't be getting a grade for his class, so we wrote a letter of complaint and a petition (where each of us signed 3 times) for Sir Manolet, our department's chairperson. That's one subject down. Damn it. Ems and Cris told me that we might be having a few hours this second term to make up for the lost class. I sure hope we don't have to pay for that. We got ripped off enough already with the teacher not coming to class.
Well, as for the rest of my grades, I don't have a grade lower than 2.0, goody. I don't know what it takes to be in the Dean's list, though. How do you get in the Dean's list anyway?
By the way, does anyone got a spare LJ code out there?
