the usual
I got home around half an hour ago. Since Tita Menchu was going out tonight, Dein and I managed to hitch a ride with Sundee.
When I got home, I found out that my aunt made a peach-and-cream refrigerator cake for me that's a lot like those mango floats that they sell in the theater lobby. Mmmm...
Nothing much really happened. Despite my "depression", I managed to cover it up, as usual, so no one noticed. I've been doing that for years now.
Kel (Racquel) watched the show tonight. Heheheheh, I think she enjoyed it because our Peter was good-looking. Hmmm...I wonder if I should tell Paolo? ^_^
Tito Joey brought the jackets today. The ones in my size won't be coming until Sunday, so I'll shell out my money then. And the pictures I ordered (already paid, of course) from Sundee won't be out till Friday, the day of the cast party. I don't even know if I'm going. More importantly, I don't even know if I'm invited. Heck, it's a cast party. I'm a crew member. Oh well. Whatever.
I'm still in a rut.
Here's the Friday Five.
1. What was/is your favorite subject in school? Why?
Back in grade school and high school, my favorite subject was English. Most especially Reading. I love to read even until now. My mom kept on scolding me about reading too much for years. I guess that's how I rated as one of the fastest readers in my class then. Right now, my favorite subject is still English, as well as Technical Theater 1, which is Lighting Tools. I loved learning about how the lights work, how to mix those damn colors, and then going to an actual theater and learning how to work them.
2. Who was your favorite teacher? Why?
I had a lot of favorite teachers. One teacher that I'll always remember in grade school was Miss Pam Adriano. She was my Christian Living teacher in 6th and 7th grade. She was so nice, but strict enough when necessary. Kinda like Tita Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, my favorite musical theater teacher. In college, I'll have to say Sir Jay, who was my teacher in Stage Craft and Lighting Tools. He shows evidence of mastery in the subject, and when we complain it's hard, he just points out that there are just too many to learn at a time. He's a professional lighting designer, and I look up to him for that. Oh yeah, and of course, I can't forget Icko, my Rendering teacher. I first got to know him as a teacher, and then we worked as teachers together in Trumpets Playshop. Funny guy, always knows when to get serious and when to wack out.
3. What is your favorite memory of school?
A lot. I always can't wait for lunch and recess so I can meet with Rosa and Iam. Can't wait for dismissal so I can go to track and field training. Can't wait for training to end so I can go out and have dinner with the senior guys in the team. The thrill of being a senior so we can be in those air-conditioned classrooms. Getting out of class for school productions. Cast trips to Meralco and AFP theaters. Sitting in the carpeted area of the grade school library.
4. What was your favorite recess game?
Playing hopscotch with my classmates. I started playing with my 3rd-grade classmates. I remember playing with this girl Jessamine, and her twin sister Jessica. They were so good at hopscotch that I was always challenged when I play with them. And to think that they were gymnasts while I had a lousy sense of balance. I played hopscotch even until 7th grade, with Iam and Rosa.
5. What did you hate most about school?
Terror teachers. Too much homework. Being cooped up in a classroom for hours on end.
Anyway, I need to get some sleep. I just read a long email and I need to rest to make a decent reply for that.
