I went to UP Diliman this afternoon to watch this play we were required to watch for Miss Magda's HISTORY class. It's called El Publico or Ang Madla in Filipino. I got to watch the English version, thank goodness. For some reason, I can barely understand a play if it's in Filipino. It was performed by the school's drama org, Dulaang UP. Pretty interesting play. There were a few nude parts, like when a girl dressed as a guy strips off all her clothes and crosses the stage. And then there was a Romeo and Juliet scene with both characters covered in suds inside a tub. And of course, a guy posing a Jesus Christ hanging on the bars they used as a backdrop, wearing absolutely nothing.

I was lucky enough to go to UP by car. I didn't really know how to commute there, because I was supposed to go with Marie Vee, but she cancelled at the last minute. Lucky my dad found out that our neighbor (who serves as our driver in the most dire occasions) was home, so we got him to drive us (yes, my dad went along as well).

I've forgotten how huge the UP campus is. The last time I went there was when I was taking my entrance exam 4 years ago. I can't believe I actually wanted to go there for college. I'm happy where I am right now. Though I'm thinking of taking my masters degree in Theater Arts there. I don't know yet if my 'rents will let me go through with it, though.

Lawyn sent me a text message this afternoon that she might shift her course from Advertising in DLSU to Production Design in CSB. I wonder if she has convinced her parents enough already.
