I was listening to my Rent CD earlier. Was singing the lyrics of "Rent" out loud.

How do you leave the past behind
When it keeps finding ways to get to your heart
It reaches way down deep and tears you inside out
Till you're torn apart
Rent!

How can you connect in an age
Where strangers, landlords, lovers
Your own blood cells betray

What binds the fabric together
When the raging, shifting winds of change
Keep ripping away

Draw a line in the sand
And then make a stand
Use your camera to spar
Use your guitar

When they act tough - you call their bluff...

Nyak, enough of that.

It disappoints me how a lot of people can still be so gullible and stubborn. I remember what Reiner told me a few years ago, back when I was still a household head and active member of YFC-CSB...

"Dapat persistent ka, and don't complain. Kung matigas na talaga ang ulo ng tao, dun ka na lang magreklamo."

Then during my phone conversation with Ari last night, I said, "You know me when it comes to friends. I never let go of them. If I don't get in touch with them anymore, I open my phone book and drop them a line to say hi. Every person in my life is too precious to let go. It just hurts when people still get so damn stubborn that it seems that the only solution is just let them go."

They say love is blind. It's not just that. There are also fine lines along friendship. When you get so enamored with some people you're fascinated with, you have this tendency to become blind and even deaf to every everyone else who doesn't agree with what you think. You become closed minded. Just because other people are different. You start turning your backs on them. Everything that you've been through with those people, you flush them down that porcelain pee-hole.

This past couple of months, I've been observing some people I used to know, some people I barely know, and some are even strangers. But some of these people used to be people I considered friends.

"No more intrigues, no more backstabbing, and no more lies..."

People want to know the truth. A lot of people have asked for it. There are two sides that you have to know before you realize the truth. Most people have listened to only one side.

Man, just because I started shelving some bits of music and began listening to my old stuff, it made me think better. It's amazing how much of an impact Rent made.

Hahaha...oh no, a disturbing mental image of some "chiquita adonis" kissing another male actor suddenly popped in my head.
