look back
One of the last things Lexi told me before she logged off was
"...it's nice to look back, diba?"
So true.
Don't get me wrong. I don't dwell on the past. I just love reliving certain memories.
I sometimes find myself opening my old diaries, and even checking out my old online journals, reading what I have written. I look back smiling fondly at fun memories with my friends, reminiscing all the crazy things we used to do.
I also look back at the hard times I went through. And I also smile at the thought...because no matter how tough things were, I still managed to get through it, and survive.
To end this entry, I'd like to post my high school grad song, which was written by one of my best friends, Iam. I guess it's pretty appropriate because some of you who are reading this are graduating. Ey, Iam, correct the lyrics na lang kung mali. It's been a long while since I last sang this song.
Looking Back At The Memories
As we start to walk away from where it all began
We see the memories that have come to stay
Now that we are leaving with our seemingly empty hearts
Let us look back at the moments
That we can say
We wish that we could stay much longer
Or even for a while
Maybe a few seconds to remember
How life can be so worthwhile
Let's look back at the memories
And maybe not with tears
But with the happiness that filled our hearts
Through the years
Maybe in the future
We can look back and see
How the time has changed
For both you and me
Let us sit down and remember
All the times we had together
We would want to turn back time
Then we may say
We wish that we could stay much longer
Or even for a while
Maybe a few seconds to remember
How life can be so worthwhile
Let's look back at the memories
And maybe not with tears
But with the happiness that filled our hearts
Through the years...
