Went to Dish last night with Kathy. We met up outside her village and then we dropped by New Life to say hi to Chevy, Eric and Mikki. We were supposed to visit Tito Eddie (Chevy’s dad) at Asian Hospital, but Chev told Kathy to pass by New Life instead, where there was a church service for his dad. We only had a few moments there, then we had to leave for QC.

Wahahaha, Kathy, I tell you this. No effort at all. You’re not doing anything wrong.

Anyway, when we arrived at ABS-CBN, we went straight to Dish. We got our own table instead of sitting at the one Tita Sherbet reserved because Kathy invited fellow Star In A Million contestant Jeff, along with some of his guy friends. We were already hungry by the time we got there, so we ordered food right away, while waiting for the Ilacads. I was about to attack the 2nd half of my spatzle when I heard someone giggling behind me. Wahahaha, I knew it was Lexi even before she tried to cover my eyes. And there they were. Jill, Diane and Teena were sitting at a table near ours. I introduced Kathy to them before we went back to our pasta (which tasted so much like plain old macaroni and cheese, by the way). They switched to the table next to us after a few minutes.

Finally, Tito Sunny and Tita Sherbet arrived. I finally introduced Kathy to Tita, and she joined us at our table. Tita was talking to us about her last encounter with Franco when, speaking of the devil, he appears at the entrance. Wahahaha, when he came over to our tables to say hi, we all leaned over at the other table to look at Teena’s expression. Heeheehee. Some of the fellas arrived late, and the funniest greeting I got was from Reuben. When I came over to say hi, he said, “Hogi! …Can I leave this with you?” Then he handed his bag to me as Franco herded him, Karl and Robi away.

Of course, as usual, I couldn’t help but acknowledge my presence when the guys were already onstage even with the lights still off. Goes to show it’s been quite a while since I last went out, hahaha. Holy kamote, what’s with Paulo’s hair? Because it was super straight last night, he looked so much like Mark Bautista.

Jeff and his friends arrived when the fellas were well into their set, but because there was a lot of them, some of the guys had to wait for a table. Jeff joined Kathy and me at our table, and invited his other friend Eugene to sit with us. Nyak, kulit ni Kathy. The whole night, even before we left, she kept reintroducing us, “Hogi, Eugene. Eugene, Hogi.” Huwatsdaaat. Anyway, when the table next to the Ilacads were vacated, they switched there, and we put the two tables together. Brent, this other guy from SIAM, came along as well and joined us. Hahaha, hirit ni Tita: “Star In A Million ka na rin, Hogi?”

Hehehehe, after one of the guys’ last songs, I did my infamous “HUWAW!” before the rest of the crowd had a chance to applaud. Nyak, Robi just had to acknowledge me. Is there time to crawl under the table? Hahahaha!

When the guys were done with their set, Jill, Lexi, Diane, Teena and I went over to where the fellas were. Kathy was already content sitting with Jeff and Brent, but she told me to say hi to Karl for her. Nyahaha, so I brought Karl over to her instead.

Me: Man, I missed you guys! Sayang talaga I didn’t get to go to Teena house for that EB.
Reubs: Yeah, where were you?
Me: Racket. I was working at a choir concert kasi that night as technical director.
Reubs: Talaga? Wala eh, in demand na kasi si Hogi. Pa-concert concert na lang. Akafellas, Nyoy…
(Nyak, in demand? Don’t I wish…)

Me: It was PJ’s birthday yesterday.
Paulo: Yeah, I know. I wasn’t invited naman eh.
(Doi.)

Franco: I texted Nyoy yesterday.
Me: Yeah? And what does it have to do with me?
Franco: Wala lang, I just texted him, and then I suddenly remembered you.
(*bonk*)

Weeheehee, after the fellas set, it was time for South Border! Hehehe, I was texting Adjeng half the time I was watching, telling her how cute Duncan is up close. “To me, it was beyond the looks and the voice…” Yihee, is someone missing her ex? My question was answered by another text: “Is he flirting with anyone ba?” Hahaha, so I just said, “I can’t tell; there are too many girls up front.” Hehehe, I switched to the seat next to Lexi while the band was playing so I can get a better view.

When I looked back at the other table, I saw Allotte somewhere near the tech booth, so I went over to say hi. I got her to join Kathy and Jeff at their table because she didn’t have anywhere else to sit. Man, I missed that girl.

I actually got to meet Duncan at last! Yay! Hahaha, ang babaw ko talaga. As it turned out, Jeff’s friend is a friend of Duncan’s as well, so Kathy asked her to introduce us. Damn, I had what I call a “Peachy moment”. I was busy looking at him that I didn’t have time to take my camera out so we can have a picture together. Darn. Hehehe.

Kathy and I hung around with Jeff and his friends for a while longer after Tita Sherbet, Tito Sunny, Jill, Lexi, and Teena left (Diane had left sometime after South Border began their set). Then we had to leave. The whole ride back home, we listened to the tracks in the CD Tito Sunny gave Kathy to study. Nyak, LSS. I joked that I might be able to sing the 3rd track as well because we played it more than the 7th track, hehehe.

It’s Sunday, May 09, 2004. HAPPY MOTHERS’ DAY!!!
