this month's SIAM
Last week, before Kathy and I met up to go to Dish, she was watching Star In A Million to check out the new batch of contestants for this month. Hahaha, to quote, "Pampagulo lang sila." Well, because I didn't get to watch it last week, I decided to check it out this evening. Plus I heard that there was this girl named Laarni among the contestants. I know one girl whose name is Laarni, and hey, it's not that common a name.
My brother also told me that his friend from school and work, Francis, is also a contestant this month. I heard that he was in the DLSU chorale, so I got even more curious.
Sure enough, the Laarni on SIAM was the same girl I knew from last year's Dreamgirls. Still had that cute-looking face, but vocally, there wasn't much improvement. I remembered her as the cast member I hear most complaints about. She was my age, and she was the 2nd youngest member in the cast. She always wore these really short shorts, cutoff shirts, and Birkenstocks to rehearsals. People were always picking on her whenever she's not around. Yeah, Laarni's nice and all, but there was never a day where she annoyed the cast and crew with her space-case moments. Ahahaha, one thing the whole cast and crew will never forgive her for was the time she tried singing the high part of Bituin's dramatic solo while she was backstage. Everyone heard her, and tried shutting her up. My goodness, easy lang, girl.
Aw, seeing Laarni on TV made me miss the Dreamgirls crowd all over again.
Anyway, in tonight's SIAM episide, both Laarni and Francis got booted out. But Sandy from After Eve is still in! Hahaha, it's so funny, when the camera focused on the audience, it mostly showed After Eve (Allotte, Nica, and Elea), but mostly on Allotte. Maybe because she was a former contestant.
Speaking of SIAM, psst, Jillie, who had a fantastic night last night?
I was so bored today that I decided to finally watch that video of You've Got A Friend. Igh, I looked so... ew... I don't know how to describe it. I looked funny. And my character in our "Pre-Prom Night" vignette annoyed me. I sounded so squeaky. *shudder* It kinda made my performance in Bye Bye Birdie look so much better.
I'm getting hungry... But Mom and Kuya are still chatting with Kuya's girlfriend outside. Hehehe, maybe I'll grab a few bites from the food that Ate Maui brought.
