Saw this from friend Shan's Friendster bulletin board. Just want to share this with you guys.

SILLY TESTIMONIALS

is it really necessary to ask for testimonials?

so far this hasnt happened to me but i know that some people go as far as walking u to his/her/your pc and making u type one ON THE SPOT.. HarHarHar

sorry, i juz really find it silly..

a LOT of testimonials seem to begin with the usual "here's your testi na.. sorry it took so long". Simula pa lang alamo na that the person
was juz obligated to make it.

what about those testi's that overly promote the person then the common "o testi ko ha!" slapped at the end.

napapa-NYEH na lang ako!.. HaHa..

pero eto malupit..
nothing and i mean NOTHING beats the walang katapusang "FRIEND KO TO!"

WHATS UP WITH THAT?!?!??!?!?!?!???!!!

Do people even know what "testimonial" means?

I still don't get why people ask for testimonials or make testimonials expecting one in return..

doesnt that kill the essence of the testimonial?

juz a thought.. =)

I totally agree with this.

I mean, the heck is the big deal about those testimonials? And why is everyone still making a big deal over this Friendster craze? I mean, the whole purpose of the site is so you can reconnect with the people you once knew and meet knew friends and find out who's friends with or who's connected to who and all that. But some people just don't get it. They add and add people they don't know so they can show others who view their profile how many friends they have. My brother was a perfect example of this last week, showing off not just how many friends he has in his list, but also bragging how many non-Filipinos he knew.

Concerning testimonials, I love the way Shan wrote it. I mean, it's annoying how people ask and ask and eventually bug me to write them a testimonial. Some would even say, "Naka-login ka sa Friendster? Gawan mo ko ng testi!" Face it, guys, what is a testimonial? "Testify". And it should be well thought out and written. That's why I hardly write testimonials. It's annoying how people bug me and say, "Ey, ginawan kita ng testi... Gawan mo rin ako." Nyak...

Nyahahaha... just ranting.

I AGREEEEE!!!!!!! :bag: I reaaaaally get annoyed when people bug me just to make one! tipong everytime na lang ata magkita kayo, they tell you \"uy! testi ko!\" huwatda...... sakalin...hehehe :P the sincerity will be lost if a person makes a testi for someone just because he/she asked him/her to.

i sooo agree with this! i find it super ANNOYING to the nth power how some people (who apparently don\'t have a life! ;P) SPAM my bulletin board with \"testi ko pls.\" messages. i mean, i strongly believe that testi\'s should be freely given, not begged from/forced out from a person.

oh but ako naman nahihiya minsan, i \"feel\" obligated to make testi\'s for people who willingly made me one ;)
