I first found out a few weeks ago that Lea Salonga was on Friendster, through her Manila PA, Luz, who happens to be a good friend of mine that I met through Atlantis. Luz was trying to add me to her list, and before I approved her request, I checked out her page first. One of her testimonials read, "Personal assistant par excellance! She's a light presence to be around, masarap kasama talaga. See you sa aking pagbalik! Mwah!" And it came from someone named Lea.

Checked out that Lea's page, and found out it was the real Lea Salonga. How? She's actually been on Friendster since May of last year, and so far she only has about 30 people on her list. It's not like she never goes online, being the uber-techie girl I know she is. I found out from Anna that she doesn't approve just anyone's request. Anyway, I decided to add her to my list (an occasion that hardly happens, because I only log on to Friendster to check messages and to approve/deny friend requests and testimonials), and after a day, she approved my request.

I went to her newsgroups earlier, and saw this thread called "Lea on Friendster?" Someone was asking if she does have an account, and she confirmed it.

Fan 1: Hi Lea! Do you have a friendster account?
Lea: Yes, I do... it's pretty obvious which one is mine, amongst the myriad of others bearing my name.
Fan 2: I've added you...please confirm my friend request. Thank you.
Lea: Sorry, I've limited my Friendster account to include only people I know as friends. If you're not a friend, your request will be denied.

Only people she knows as friends... She still remembers me! It's so flattering how she considers me as her friend. Que flattering. And I think that she probably just remembers me as the girl in Proof who was dying in silent laughter backstage because of her jokes. I can't wait to see her again in Baby.
