rehearsal 2
Hahaha, what a lame title.
Just got home about 15 minutes ago. Came from Myke's place, where we had rehearsals with the rest of the Akafellas, Christian, KC (with cousin in tow), Nica, Elea, and of course, Teena, Franco and Kyla.
Anyway, I'll get back to that in a jiffy.
Went to school in the afternoon to drop off my Joseph study tape and the rehearsal day's attendance sheet because I won't be at the rehearsal. Then I ended up hanging out at the SIO for a while with Me-an and Rain. I was just sitting there with them, my sides aching with laughter because of Rain's usual stories about their block. The door opened then, so I instinctively looked in that direction (the YFC/MMX cubicle was right next to the door). Surprise! Arnel was there.
While I was helping him take out a book for a friend, I found out that one of his rackets was working at the set of ASAP Fanatic. Ahahahaha, he was already working there when I visited ABS twice! But he said that I can go there to help or observe if I want. Coolness!
Went to the Shang where Teena picked me up, then back on the road. We were along Ortigas when June called Teena's phone, telling us that the 'Fellas had just started their set at this gig in UP. So we had time to grab an evening snack somewhere in Tomas Morato. We ended up at this bakeshop there (Teens, ano ulit yun?) until June called again telling us that the guys' set was done. So off we went to Myke's place.
We were the first ones there, so we sat around at the stairway til they arrived (minus Ikey and Reubs). The girls then joined us, and not long after that, Mr. Christian Bautista (ahahahaha...) arrived.
People were sort of asking about food by then, so Kyla told me to order something. Ngak, Robi went ahead and ordered food for his own, along with 10 orders of taho. Ended up calling Pizza Hut with the usual orders (then of course, every pizza came with one free Hawaiian-style of the same size). This time, I got to ask for cups to go with the soda, so we don't have to swap spit with each of us drinking straight from the bottle, ahahaha.
Rehearsed one of Ian's songs (something by Josh Groban, I forgot which one though) before we took a break. Of course, we had to break the news that there was still Hawaiian-style pizza, ahahaha. Ayaw na daw ni Elea ng pinya!
During the break, Robi, Nica, and Elea were quoting stuff from Robi's dad. Then someone brought up the word "D.O.M.", and Robi quipped, "I'm a Y.O.M.!" Nyak, ang laboooooo!!! Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Teena scribbling what he said so she can post it somewhere, mwehehehehe...
One more Robi quote:
"Hey, they got it all wrong! 'No instruments... Just voices'... But we have a band!"
Another quote, this time from Ian..
(When I commented about his hair.)
"They said that my hair was too black."
Huh? Is there such a thing as "too black"? Ahahahahaha!
They rehearsed the Broadway medley after the break. Then Franco let the girls go, and gave the guys some announcement concerning their schedule and stuff. Then they did a bit of "Where's The Love" before we all left.
Hitched a ride with Robi back to the south. When I told him to drop me off at ATC, he insisted he take me straight home because of the time. Thanks, Robi! Though I guess he wasn't used to the fact that I can still commute at that hour. Hahaha, I'm quite the commuter.
Sleepy time. G'night--er...good morning, world.
