the truth may hurt...or inspire

---I'm going to be totally honest with anything I say, so I'm going to apologize in advance for anyone I may hurt in the process. You don't have to do this, anyway. After all, I'm not always the sweet and smiling Hogi the public knows. As some of you may know, I do have my other moments, so I can be brutally honest as well. I'm human too.

I see you as Miss Congeniality. You treat new people as if they’re always welcome, so they always feel comfortable right away. When you want something, you’ll do everything to get it. A fighter and lover at the same time. Pag alam mo na nasasaktan, you’re always one of the first to come to their defense. If there’s trouble brewing among your friends, you’ll stop at nothing to know everything that has happened. But always remember that knowing both sides isn’t always good, because it might leave you confused. :)

A sweetheart who always speaks her mind. That’s what I like about you. You’re always frank and honest (how redundant, hahaha), and you know how to have fun. I still wish we could still hang out more often, if time permits. You’re someone I still want to get to know better, because like some other people, we hardly get to hang out often, except some gigs and other functions. Your hearty laugh is always infectious, and your perky smile never fails to cheer me up. :P

I see a talented girl who doesn’t notice how good she is. Girl, you should hear yourself! A little boost of confidence will take you farther. I first thought you were mataray, yun pala may topak ka rin pala. I never knew how much fun you are to be with. In some way, we have a bunch of things in common, aside from the obvious fact that we both adore Lea, hehehe. We still need more bonding time (be it at Starbucks, Jollibee, KFC, CSB, UP or anywhere else), but for some reason, I know I’ll always have a great time with you. :)

Ah, yes, the kunsintidorang ina, as everyone calls you. This is so true, hahaha. And I can always talk to you about anything. Funny how you manage to know if there’s something really wrong with me, or if wala lang yun, no matter how cryptic my journal entries are. I was never this close to my own mom, so I guess that’s why I enjoy talking to you about whatever, be it trivial things, lovelife, or anything else. Tita, I honestly didn’t like it at all when you were getting hurt by those people then, but you already accepted it. You take risks to keep everything from going too crazy, up to the point where you end up being the victim.

One of my favorite "ates". I never knew you were that old when I first met you, probably because you’re too cool to be a 30-something na, hahaha. No offense, pero I first saw you as a groupie of the fellas, but then again, we all are in some way, diba? But I found it so sweet to be so maasikaso to everyone. You’re very accommodating, very thoughtful. You give your all to people as long as they’re your friends, maski na they wear you out. I think I wrote this in your Friendster testimonial before, but I sure wish I have a sister like you. Hehehe, inggit ako kay Tycel.

I first knew you as "tala" from the Akafellas forum you made. Some shy kid but ever so sweet to her "ates". When I finally met you, it was sort of confirmed that you really were shy in front of me. Or maybe I was just too perky then? Ahahaha. Sweet and malambing, I always welcome your hugs every time we see each other, because we never see each other that often. You actually remind me of myself when I was your age, shy but trying to come out of my shell. Or are you still showing a different façade as opposed to the real you? :)

I was intimidated when I first met you, having recognized you in Pau’s Friendster before. Passion, that’s mostly what I see in you. Love for your chosen career path, performing, the men in your life, and your family. But I honestly don’t know you that well yet. I sometimes still see you as Mic, a close friend of the Akafellas, and that’s it. I usually see you when it concerns work, so I guess that’s why. We never really hung out as friends. It’s hard to do that during the fellas’ gigs, because the places are too big and loud and crowded. I sure hope we get to be better friends. :)
