another day for Garahe
Went to another shoot of Garahe yesterday. Rain, Mish, Drei, Nicco, Arman and I rode with Earl to the location (which was actually Camille's place) and found the others waiting for us.
While the group was setting up, Rain was getting hungry, so Mish and I went with him and found this carinderia where he could eat. Spent quite a while walking around and even afterwards for their yosi break, then we decided to head back. They were shooting one scene with Nicco and Rian in one of the upstairs bedroom, and they had just finished when we got there. Hahaha, what was that again, Rian? Hahantayin kita? Wahehehe.
When Ferson texted that he had arrived at the plaza near the church, Mish, Rain and I went there to pick him up. Found him at a kwek-kwek stand, where Rain indulged in as well. On our way back, we passed by a place selling barbecue and isaw and lots more, so of course we had to stop by and buy some.
And that's where the food trip began. We kept coming back in twos or threes to that ihawan for more. Mmmm... isaw... Hehehe.
Back upstairs in the same bedroom, they began shooting a scene with Nicco and Son. I was the lone spectator in the room, Miko directing and holding the uber-hot light, Drei and Rian manning the cameras, Earl with the boom mic, Lye as clapper girl, and Ann (konked out on the bed) with the continuity clipboard. And the scene took 15 takes, ehehehe. My observations? It took a while for Nicco to be completely comfortable in the scene. It showed in the way he ad-libbed in the last few takes. And no offense to Miko's directing, filming and screenwriting prowess, but why does Caloy have to be makulit in asking Tsyong about what he was supposed to say? He's been put down by his uncle for most of his life and he suddenly shifts. So when Nicco delivered the eager lines, he came out... well, sarcastic. Oh well, ignore me. That's why I'm afraid to critique a friend's work.
Here's something. Sometime during the 14th take, I was just on the bed watching the scene. Apparently Son was using me as a focal point but when I was about to smile, I looked away to keep from ruining the scene. Found Rian smiling, and after a few moments, he let out some gas. Loudly. Wahahaha.
After the 15th take, we went downstairs for a while. As it turned out, Mimay and Nikki had arrived while we were upstairs. When the crew returned upstairs, Nikki joined me to watch. Hahaha, because of some quip made by Lye earlier, they made this funny scene where she disappears into nowhere after clicking the clapper. Kulet.
Then after shooting a last scene for the night with Nicco and Mish, everyone retreated inside Camille's house for dinner while watching Blind Date and The Fifth Wheel on ETC. Rawr, what sucks about our cable provider is that it doesn't have ETC. Anyway, when everyone was done eating, the camera was hooked up to the TV and watched the day's coverage.
Noonienoo... Bum day today. I need a racket. Anyone?
