It's December 1st...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TITA SHERBET!!!

Yesterday, I was about to leave for Taft when I got a text message from Rosa, asking if I was going there then. Apparently her review class that day was cancelled. So we decided to meet for lunch and had sisig at Kaibigan.

After lunch, I found Ari at North Gate when I was waiting for Rosa (who went inside DLSU for a while to get a book). My golly, his hair got longer. He looked bigger too. Ahahaha, plus he noticed that I got thinner (did I?). After a little chit-chat with Rosa, we said good bye and Rosa and I went to UM so she could get a CD of Half-Life and a DVD of The Stepford Wives.

Ferson then texted me that he would be arriving at Taft at around 3pm. It was only 2:30 then, and the others had class, except for Mish (just staying at her dorn) and Nicco (comatose, no reply from his phone), so Rosa decided to stay with me to wait for him at Starbucks. When he did arrive, I introduced him to Rosa, who didn't get to watch him as Joseph (Rosa and Iam saw the afternoon show).

Oh yeah, when Rosa and I were nearing Starbucks, I ran into Dandan! It's been ages since I last saw this girl. Apparently her phone crashed or something, so she lost all her contacts. Miss you, Dandan!

I learned something from Rosa about Starbucks. You can save money by ordering a venti-sized frappe put in two cups, hahaha.

Rosa was about to leave for home then, and Ferson wanted to get something to eat from Wendy's, so we said goodbye to her then. Ended up just talking while waiting for Miko and the rest. Here's something interesting. I never really talk much about myself concerning my relationship with the people at home, but I managed to talk about it with Son. And there were some stuff that he pointed out that I never actually realized. Plus other concerns, like changes that are bound to happen next year. As I thought about it, I then realized that my life could have a drastic change.

When the others were finally out of class, off we went to Camille's place for the shoot. When we were all there, we were hoping to shoot the scene with Nicco and me, but the apron and shirt that I used before was left at Rian's house. So, oh well, I don't mind anyway. They shot the party scene, plus a couple of other scenes with Mish and Nicco at the front gate, then some others.

Oh yeah, for Mish, you know you can always come to me to talk. My brain's hard drive is free for everyone.

I got a text from Menchu at around 5 this morning, announcing typhoon signal # 2, no classes until college level. Nyak, I'm not even enrolled this term, so I passed the message to everyone else.

Holy kamote, it almost slipped my mind that it's already December. I'm turning 23 this month. Gak.

Gotta go get something to eat. I woke up at noon again, and I'm starving.

The other day (Friday), even though classes were still suspended due to the typhoon, Drei and Nicco asked me if I wanted to go with them because they'll be shooting that day.

They were supposed to pick me up at my house, but because of heavy traffic, we ended up meeting halfway, outside South Mall. When I opened the car door, I was uber surprised to see Majo (with sister in tow) in the backseat! Majo! I missed you, girl!

I hate the traffic jams along Alabang-Zapote road here in the south. So what time did we get to Camille's house? Their shoot was supposed to start at 2pm, but we got there at 5. Nyak.

Mostly just hung around outside the house they were at. They were shooting scenes in the garage then. Rian brought his CD player and let me listen to this CD of songs he compiled for his thesis. A taste of things to come? When I told him, "Gusto kong makita yan, ah," he replied, saying that I could help backstage. After talking about it with him a little more, he even typecasted some people we know, and even offered me a role. As what? A chismosa, hahaha.

After a late dinner, we got to shoot the scene with Nicco and I at the gate. Ew, hahaha. There goes that stupid smiley face of mine again. Hehehe.

I joined them again yesterday afternoon at Rian's place. They were shooting the kitchen scene upstairs when I arrived, so I stayed downstairs, talking with Mish and Son.

I got to borrow my brother's mp3 player yesterday, and loaded it with my favorite songs from Broadway musicals (and for Tricia, the whole Rent repertoire, hahaha), along with a few old school songs that my brother left there. Hahaha, that thing was plugged in my ear for practically the whole day.

After getting lunch, we all piled up in the cars and headed to Camille's place once again. Shot a scene on the street and then went they went to the other street at the other house for one quick scene. Back at the gate at Camille's house, I had to do another scene with Nicco. We didn't have Rian's apron then, so I had to make-do with another borrowed shirt (this time from Son). *cringes once again at character's goofy smile* --> Wahahahaha...

We went to Earl's place afterwards to check out the garahe they were planning to use. We were introduced to Earl's adorable Pomeranian, who happened to have the same name Nicco has, hahaha. Anyway, after seeing the place, we went upstairs, where we hung around for a while, playing with Earl's pool table and archery stuff.

I got so amused with the big space that I half-jokingly asked Earl if we could use his place for future Clokworx rehearsals, and he actually said yes! Coolness. Well, it's not like we're going to use it all the time. It's just in case we don't get hold of another venue.

Back to Camille's house for a while with Camille, Miko, Nicco, Drei, Son and Mish. Had dinner there, and then we went to Firma in Malate to check out Camille's brother's exhibit with the other MMA students. At first I had no idea what exhibit that was, but when Camille said that it was called "AND", I realized that it was the exhibit that Reggie is also part of. Cool exhibit, Reggie!

It's another Sunday. Bum day as usual, hahaha. Maybe I'll watch that DVD of Dodgeball that my brother just got.

Wrote this yesterday afternoon.

One of my college professors once told me to get out of the country to learn something for my chosen field. I never really thought about it until recently. I have an opportunity to do so next year, but would I want to take it? Especially when I’m already doing pretty well here?

I’m now one of the founding members of a new fledgling amateur theater group, once school-based because it was the product of our thesis. It’s just an organization of students for now; we have yet to register it so we can go pro.

For now, we’re in the process of writing our own show. This time, I want to be part of the artistic staff not just as stage manager, but hopefully also as dramaturg (that is, if they do agree to it). That would be cool. Well, not necessarily the one who solely comes up with the material, but I’d like to help with it. I’m just wondering how we could come up with an interesting show and stage it in less than a month. I don’t even know if that’s humanly possible. But well, we all made it through 2 shows, so hopefully we can do this.

Wasn't really planning to do anything yesterday, so I joined the prod and tech people again for Garahe.

I met up with Rain and Mish at Jollibee near school, and hung around there until Nicco and Ferson arrived. Then we said goodbye to Rain (because he was meeting up with Mari) and we took the LRT and MRT to Shang. Met up with Lye and Camille, and we were all set to take cabs to Earl's place, but because we couldn't get hold of any, we ended up walking all the way there.

They scenes they shot were all the matches in the garahe, so they got a few other friends as well. Plus we all had to be part of the crowd as well, cheering and holwing and all that.

Oh yeah, while everyone was in the shoot, Rian was in the kitchen, making spaghetti for dinner. It was Earl's birthday yesterday, by the way, so...

BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EARL !!!

They finished their shoot at around 3 in the morning, holy kamote. After wrapping up, Mish, Nicco, Son, Drei, Ting and I piled up in Arman's van and left. Dropped Mish at her dorm and Drei and Son at the condo when we got to Taft. I was supposed to get off at Coastal Mall, but Nicco said that it would be safer for me if I ride with him to their house first then I take a trike to Alabang-Zapote road, so that's what we did.

Woke up past noon today, when my mom was waking me up for lunch. And my eyes were kinda sore, rawr.

Erin's getting married today to Jao (I have no idea how to spell it, hahaha). Congratulations and best wishes to you both!

It seems that a lot of people are celebrating this month.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RAIN !!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AIREEN !!!

And in 8 more days, it's going to be my turn. Huwaw.

I'm such a martyr.

Hahahaha. I just had to say that.

I was sitting in my room when I found some quiet time earlier. Sitting on my bed, just thinking.

I just had a phone conversation with a friend of mine. Talked about other friends, situations, qualms, problems, all that schtuff.

Then back to sitting and thinking.

I'm an observer, a listener. I don't normally ask people what's up with them. I let them share on their own what they're thinking, what they're feeling, what they want to say. And I give them what they need... a listening ear, someone to talk to about those stuff.

I told a couple of friends that because of everything I hear, I feel like I'm everyone's hard drive of a personal computer, with all the hidden files inside, because they come to me with some of their secrets. Sometimes I'm afraid that I might say the wrong secret to the wrong person. Afraid that my hard drive will crash and do so. Gak. And to think that I have this huge issue on trust.

I feel like Harriet the Spy, using just my brain for a secret notebook. What if those secrets fell into the wrong hands? I hope not. Sometimes I can be too honest and just blurt things out. Ngak.

Funny... Because of all that stuff, I might not have time for my own personal life.

Too much thinking at 2:30 in the morning. This is not good.

The other night, I went to RCBC to catch the opening show of Blue Repertory's production of Merrily We Roll Along.

When I got to RCBC, I was craving for a sandwich at Subway, I went there first. I was drinking the last drops of my water when I saw Arvin walk by outside. Then behind him was Nikki and Mimay. I went with them while I waited for Teena and Jenn to arrive. Dein was also there to watch, coolness. And to my surprise, so were Dale and Villy (for Altair, of course).

So how was the show? It was pretty cool. Minimal set as usual, just platforms, a fake piano, and even a door (used only in one scene, "It's a Hit"), then tables and (Monobloc) chairs. Backdrops were once again projected on the cyclorama. Hahaha, I got so amused with the chandelier that was there for one scene. Enzo was great as Frank. For some reason I liked his voice. Macky as Charley was uber amusing because his face was so animated. Bow din ako kay Bea as Mary and Caisa as Gussie. I forgot who played Beth, but she was good as well. And Altair as Jerome, hahaha. Darn proud of you, dude.

Teena and I flew to Dish right after the show. Belated happy birthday, Tita Sherbs! We managed to catch at least 2 songs of the Akafellas before they finished their set. Jillie, Tita Sherbet, Tito Sunny, Diane, Tricia, Aileen, Ate Tere, Mika, Sybil, and even Marlo came. Went backstage with Teena, Aileen and Ate Tere after their set. Hahahaha, when I stood by Reuben...

Reubs: (holding the upper part of my forearm and squeezing it) Hey, this wasn't here before!
Me: What?
Reubs: (squeezing it again and again) This!
Me: Are you saying I'm fat?!? I actually got thinner since the last time you saw me!
Reubs: Ay, sorry!

Hahaha, just for that, I retaliated by tickling the very ticklish Reubs.

I stayed to catch a few songs by Radha then hitched a ride back to the south with Tricia.

Yesterday, Clokworx held a meeting concerning our next production. We decided to meet up at Food Choices in Greenbelt 3. Met up with Son in Glorietta first so we could go to Food Choices together. He even brought something for Nicco (a cap and a stuffed monkey) and me (a stuffed puppy and a bracelet), from Glenn (thanks, Glenn!). Anthony and Cha were already there when we arrived. After a while, Cris joined us as well. Cris was only staying for a few minutes, so we decided to start talking about the initial concerns. Nikki arrived sometime while we were still talking. We then decided to have lunch, so Anthony and Cha went off to Giligan's while Nikki, Son and I went to Tokyo Tokyo.

Nicco joined us at Tokyo Tokyo just in time. After eating, Anthony and Cha joined us once again, then Bryan and Mish caught up with us. Lotsa stuff in the agenda were discussed, including people's positions, artistic and production. So to those of you who didn't manage to attend yesterday, expect a text message from me. Plus we'll be meeting up again on the 17th, so mark your calendars.

After everything, we wrapped up and decided to do something. At first people wanted to watch a movie, but nothing good was showing, though some of us wanted to check out Pasiyam. Then more suggestions, like bowling and karaoke.

We first went to Food Choices in Glorietta for a while but ended up hanging out at Starbucks 6750. Hehehe, Nikki and I shared a venti strawberries and cream frapuccino, teaching the others how you can save money when you order, hahaha. Drei, after enduring hours in a traffic jam, finally managed to catch up with us. Miko even joined us for a while as well, before he, Drei and Nicco go off to edit their film.

Went with Miko, Nicco, Drei, Son, and Mish to the condo for some pictorial, and ended up staying to check out the last clips of their shoot, because their editor friend wasn't around yet. Then we wanted to have dinner, so Drei drove us back to Makati. Was supposed to eat at Tubbies, but it was closed. Then we found out that the camera was still at the condo, so we went through the drive-through at Mcdo then headed back for the camera. Then Mish had to return to her dorm because she was getting picked up by her parents. Then we then went to their editor friend's place to drop off their film for capturing (they rescheduled editing for today). Hahaha, Nicco fell asleep on my lap in the backseat when we were almost at the place, so I had to stay in the car with him while Miko and Drei went inside for a while. Then we dropped off Miko at the condo before we headed home.

Ooooh, it's the 13th tomorrow...

ADVANCED HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DANDAN !!!

I visited Taft again yesterday. I was supposed to meet up with Rain for lunch, but he had to go to Makati. Instead, I met up with Mish, Drei, Nicco and Arman at KFC. Apparently everyone had finished all their finals, so people started getting bored, hyukhyukhyuk...

Garahe is finally done! We (Miko, Drei, Nicco, Mish and I) got to watch it for the very first time yesterday evening.

Nikki joined us at the condo after her futsal training then we had dinner at Chiggy's. Then we went back to the condo for a while before heading home.

So what's with the title?

Just a thought before I drifted off to sleep during the wee hours of this morning... I enjoy being people's confidante. I make time to talk to my friends about anything. But I realize that because of this, I can't seem to make time for anything else. I'm beginning to lose other priorities.

I feel so useless. I can't be where you are when you needed me.

Maybe it just goes to show that I'm not ready to be involved in another serious relationship yet.

Grrr... I hate this. I have lotsa things in my mind, but when I settle down to write them down, my mind goes blank.

I did this last year. I found some time to sit down and write stuff for this year. So if you're curious and have the time, check it out...

(Looking back at 2004...)

All in all, let me just say that this year has been one amazing joyride. I thank everyone who was there with me, through all its ups and downs, craziness and fun galore. I have no regrets with anything that have happened, because all those made me the person that I am today. The people also helped me become what I am, so I’m ever so grateful that our paths crossed.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ROSA !!!

Thanks to everyone who greeted me on my birthday last Thursday through text and online messages...
Rosa, Iam, Teena, Ferson, Pambee, Ari, Anj, Rain, Lexi, Tita Sherbet, Chinky, Edward, Mish, Mimay, Kyla, Nicco, Aelain, Leslie, Peachy, Cams, Dave, Aileen, Paulo Nav, Cris M, Sybil, Maika, Glenn, Kuya Bobot, Ate Vonic, Berto, Nikki, Ernest, Felie, Miko, Camille, Sir Dante, Karlo, Dandan, Aireen, Peachy, Julie, Jaypi, Jamie, Marie Vee, Anna, Cha, Arlene, Kuya Richie, Bing, Marielle, Jenn, Rich, Ecel, Arni, Mela, Mic, Lucia, Reggie...

My golly, I can't remember everyone anymore.

I invited some friends over to my house last Thursday night. There was Rosa, Iam, Aris, Rain, Mish, Nicco, Son, Drei, Glenn and Mai, and even Ate Maui and Kuya Butch. Mmmm... food... I just loved that chocolate cake that Grace insisted she make.

The best part of it was completing our trio again. It's never dull when you're with Rosa and Iam, hahaha. We've been together since we were kids and we've practically stopped counting the years. Never mind how old we are, we're still kids at heart. And 80's kids, to add, hahaha. Hence...

Meet Birthday Bear!
Hahaha, got this adorable Care Bear as a gift from Iam.
Thanks, Iam!
Collector's Edition pa yan!

Anyway, food galore for everyone. I think everyone got so amused with my mom that night, hahaha. Nicco also brought his copy of Garahe, so we got the others to watch it. Plus I let them see a video of rehearsals from the first Joseph staging.

We (Rain, Mish, Nicco, Drei, Son and I) mostly spent the time in our living room, first talking about plans for the next production, to anything under the sun until the wee hours of morning. We had a meeting the following day, so everyone had to call it a night. Mish and Son slept over while the rest (south people kasi, hehehe) went home.

Wahahaha, breakfast with my mom yesterday morning had a theme and no one told me. "Embarass Hogi." Hahaha. My mom never ran out of stories to tell.

Anyway, Mish, Son and I headed for Taft to meet up with the rest. We were supposed to meet up at Figaro at CCP, but when we were with Miko and Nikki (decked in her St Scho uniform so her mom can let her out of the house, hahaha), Miko asked if we could stay in the Taft area because he was only staying until 1pm. So we settled at KFC and waited for Anthony and Cha.

Talked about what we had discussed the night before, and then Miko shared his ideas. When he had to leave, we all transferred to Wendy's and talked more there. Mostly concerns on venue, how many days will the show run and how many shows, etc. Nikki then got a text from Arni, saying that there's an open DTR at St Scho later that day for May Day Eve. We wanted to check it out, but decided to kill time at Anthony's place.

Popped the video of Garahe into the player again so Nikki, Anthony and Cha can watch it. Noticed a few more I could comment on since the last couple of times I saw the film, ehehehe. Nicco, Miko and Drei, next time na lang yung comments ko. Anyway, after watching the film, Anthony introduced us to his cousin Alvin, and even mentioned his prowess on the piano, so we got him to play a few tunes. Hey, Anthony, can we hire him as an MD? Hehehe...

Nikki, Mish, Nicco, Son and I then headed for St Scho. Met up with Cris outside and she gave me this pretty butterfly for my cellphone. Thanks, Cris!

Lav, Bryan (with a couple of other friends) joined us for the DTR. Sat a few rows in front of the director, none other than Mr. Tony Espejo himself, ahehehe. The first part of the show was May Day Eve, featuring actors like Batibot's Kuya Bodjie and even Noel was there as his younger version in the flashback. The 2nd half after intermission was this hilarious Taglish play about fighting cocks. OK, I have to admit, I didn't understand the words half the time because they were talking to fast, and their Pinoy accents weren't helping one bit. No offense to GTF people. If they spoke a little slower to make the words clearer, it would've been better. But heck, the play was still funny. We were all laughing our asses off! And when one of the actors said that the white cock was "comatose", we couldn't help it, we all burst out laughing.

After the show, we said goodbye to Bryan and his friends and had dinner at House Blend. Then we went to GSIS for this art exhibit and contest that Prof Arvin was in. Darn, there was free food in the museum. Oh well. I found some pretty impressive artwork in every category, cool. I wonder what would've happened if I retained my artsy ways in high school instead of joining theater productions? What kind of visual artist would I might have been?

Oooh, lunch time. I'm out.

I went to watch the closing show of Blue Rep's Merrily We Roll Along yesterday. Saw it again with Teena, hehehe. Lotsa other people came to watch the show as well. There was Mish and her cousin, Tricia, Reubs, Ikey, Jhett, Robi, Ernest, Leslie, and even Tito Bonggoy and Red C.

Ahehehe, when I got to the lobby and found Mish talking to Reubs, it slipped my mind that they already knew each other from years ago when they did Merrily for their Rep workshop with Caisa.

This time, Kyla and Bea switched roles, so Kyla was Mary. Franco added a potbelly for the first scenes as Joe. I think Caisa was kinda sick that day because her voice was different (duh).

My golly, when I heard the opening of "Our Time", hala, another senti moment for me. Rawr.

Amusing, the audience was more responsive yesterday. And when Frank told Charlie "I just met the girl I ought to marry," I could hear the people say "Aawww..." Hahaha. And the cast even sang "Santa Claus is Coming To Town" after the finale. Coolness.

I'll elaborate on the show on my next entry (which I'll post tomorrow).

After the show, I said hello to a bunch of friends in a rush. Joy, it was great to finally meet you at last! Hahaha, don't worry, I won't judge you as Meg.

Mish, Teena and I then walked and took a jeep to Glorietta afterwards, then Mish and I met up with Drei, Son and Drei's younger brother Eric at Food Choices. Had dinner there and Nikki joined us as well. We didn't really have much plans of what to do that evening, so we went off to Landmark so I can look for a Grumpy Bear Care Bear (sounds repetitive, hahaha) that my brother was looking for. Too bad he wasn't sold separately. He was being sold along with Cheer Bear, oh well. If Kuya does buy that, he has to give me Cheer Bear so my Birthday Bear can have company, hehehe.

Oh yeah, Nikki and I finally joined the Sun Cellular bandwagon. I don't really want to broadcast my number here, so to those who want to get my number, just leave a comment on this entry and I'll send it to you. Sorry to disappoint, I can only give out the number to friends.

Today, we were supposed to have another Clokworx meeting, this time at KFC in Coastal, then proceed to Cha's house. But to my dismay, hardly anyone replied to my text message to say that they're not even attending, so I don't really know who to expect. Please lang people, di naman gaanong kahirap magreply sa text, diba? Kung wala kang load eh di maki-text sa phone ng iba. Konting effort lang, because ang dami ko nang nasasayang because no one's replying.

So anyway, little talk here and there with Nicco, Son and Anthony over lunch, then Anthony went to Cha's house alone while the rest of us went to Festival Mall to watch Glenn at this singing contest.

Oh yeah, we also took Nicco shopping for new clothes, hehehe. After walking around the entire mall with him purchasing just one shirt at Human, we went to my recommended store, Artwork. Hahaha, that's my favorite store. He found lotsa shirts there that he liked, and decided to come back for it.

We were with Mai, Majo and a bunch of their other friends when we went to watch Glenn perform. After his song, Nicco, Son and Drei went back to Artwork for the shirts. He ended up purchasing 3 statement shirts. Mish was talking to us over the phone then and got us to buy 3 shirts for her as well.

Oh well, Glenn didn't win anything, but it was fine. After that, Glenn and Mai went off to their church, and Nicco had to go home as well. But then he ended up having dinner first at that Japanese resto beside Red Ribbon with me, Son, and Majo, with her mom and sister. Thanks for dinner, Tita!

My brother's prying me off the PC. I'm out for now.
Posted by tymeless on December 20, 2004 at 09:29 PM | 1 director's note(s)
We held another informal meeting the other day (Wednesday) at my house. This time, purely for the artistic staff involved. But before then, Nicco, Ferson and I met up at South Mall so Nicco can shop for more clothes again.

Went around the department store and combed the mall through all the shops we could think of. Nicco finally found 2 pairs of jeans, thanks to Son the fashion consultant of the day, hahaha. We were at it from around 11 in the morning until almost late afternoon. Then afterwards, we met up with Glenn at Storyland, for a couple of rounds at the videoke machine, hahaha. Ari also dropped by, so I introduced them to him. Hahaha, he was wearing a black sando, which showed off his current build, so when we said goodbye to him, they quipped that I had Johnny Bravo for an ex-boyfriend, wahahahaha!

The four of us then set off for my house. Wheee, there was lotsa food waiting for us when we got home. So we just sat at the dining table, eating and talking, and Mai even caught up with us. After eating, we settled in our living room and just kept on talking. I realized that just sitting around talking really helps us develop ideas for the show. Anyway, we managed to come up with a whole bunch of characters for our monolgoue series. And after conceptualizing 10 characters (a bit of Nicco and me in a couple of those), my aunt had finished making her baked empanada, yay! Hahaha, more food.

Hehehe, walang sawang kwentuhan talaga in my living room. Son even gave some singing pointers to Nicco. Huwaw, instant voice lesson, hehehe. Nikki even called my landline every now and then to chat. Anyway, Mai stayed until around 2 in the morning. She insisted on leaving ahead because she had to attend simbang gabi. The guys left about 20 minutes after then, with Nikki still on the phone to say goodbye to them as well.

Mimay had also texted the day before that she wanted to meet us at Robinson's Place on Thursday (yesterday) at 1pm. So after meeting up with Cris at Greenbelt, off I went to Rob. Found Mimay, Lav and Mimay's friend Jason at the food court. Hahaha, thanks for the gift, Mims! Arni joined us after a while, and then we went off some place where Mimay can find some tiramisu. We couldn't find any, even when we were at Cheesecake, Etc. Nyak, then Mimay complained that she had to leave at 2:30 (I arrived at 2pm), rawr... lack of time. She and Jason said goodbye to us, then Lav, Arni and I went to Starbucks to wait for Nikki, who was arriving at around 3. My golly, we spent hours there, just talking over coffee jelly (yum!), mostly girl talk, and... wahehehehe, never mind who was in the hot seat. And can I just say? When will we ever find the right guy for each of us? And para sa isa dyan, wag ka nang makisali! Isa-isa lang! Hahahaha!

Nicco texted me, asking if he could still catch up, aside from some hassle that delayed him. We had already decided to start walking again, because we've been sitting around for hours already, so we went window shopping before settling down again at the food court for dinner. Hahaha, Mish even called me on my Sun sim to talk to the rest while we were eating. She was at Greenhills at that time doing shopping on her own. After she had hung up, I found out that Nicco had already arrived and was looking for us. Anyway, when he got there, we never left the table, just talking, until it was almost 11. That's when we all decided to call it a day.

Tomorrow's Christmas. Despite the cool, crisp air that I enjoy for most of the day this month, I don't feel like it really is Christmas. Weird.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE !!!

Belated Merry Christmas, everyone!

On Christmas Eve, I got an unexpected visit from my favorite cousin, Ate Shang, along with her brother, Kuya Butch. My golly, it's been ages since I last saw that girl. They had planned to just drop off some goodies made by their mom, but ended up staying a while to chat. Ate Shang and I sat at the informal dining area and briefly caught up on each other's news.

My mom joined us for a few moments while Ate Shang and I were talking about this guy who I worked for last year at his events company. Overhearing this, my mom asked if Ate Shang could let me land a job at the company she works for. I didn't really want a desk job, so I made this lame excuse that I haven't graduated yet. But my cuz still insisted I leave a resume with her, so I can work for them at their events and stuff. Oh well.

A job opportunity? We'll see.

Christmas day was pretty good. Except for the fact that I started having this headache after lunch and spent the entire afternoon until dinner time sleeping. And to think that my cousin Kuya Kex was at our house for a visit with his wife Ate Bing and their newest baby boy.

I can't wait for tomorrow. I'm going to Tagaytay with my Hogi Hall friends. Yay.

My high school barkada had planned to go to Tagaytay today, just a minor road trip, eat at Leslie's, and enjoy the view.

Met up with Rosa (with cousins Mae and Kuya Mervin), Iam, Aris, Seph, PJ and Ramon at ATC, ate something light, then off we went. Rosa, Iam, Mae and I rode with Kuya Mervin in his car while the rest of the guys rode in Aris' car.

Hehehe, the moment we arrived at Leslie's, we immediately felt the change of temperature. Iam even forgot her jacket so she kept complaining about the cold air. Wheee, Iam and I then started running into the restaurant like little kids, looking for the best place to sit with a good view.

First we got to sit at the very edge of the restaurant, a good view of everything. It was almost perfect, except the sun was almost in the faces of the people sitting at one side of the table. It was OK enough for us, specially since the sun won't be that high for long. But the waiter sort of insisted that we could still transfer to another table inside. Oh well, we transferred anyway.

OOooh, bulalo, sisig, crispy pata, calamares, etc. Yum! Hahaha, we kept eating, but we couldn't finish all of the food. We were hoping Seph would be the last to finish everything. "Last man standing, first man down," hahahahaha!

While we were waiting for dessert (which was supposed to be buko pandan, but we had to settle for ripe mangoes because they ran out), this combo of 3 men and 2 women approached us, so we requested 3 songs. Heeheehee, of course, Peej and I just had to laugh when they started singing "Kokomo" (Kuya Mervin had asked if they knew any songs by the Beach Boys). We sang that song with different lyrics for a Physics project during senior year. Anyway, Iam and I even sang along for this song, heeheehee...

Hahahaha, Iam and I had a funny episode in the ladies' room while we were washing our hands in the sink. Darn "water pump", hahahaha!

After dinner, we went outside for photo ops. Hahaha, never mind that the sun had already set, we still took pictures! I'll post them tomorrow in my next entry.

Then when we had our fill of peekshur-taking, we got back into the cars and headed back home. Of course, we first stopped over at McDo ATC after saying goodbye to Rosa, Mae and Kuya Mervin, then Aris drove Iam and me home.

Gotta get some sleep. Have a darn cough and cold, grrr...

Did I say that I was going to post pictures in my next entry? OK, I'll post it in the next entry after this, ehehehehe.

I went to South Mall yesterday to meet up with some of the Joseph peeps so we can watch Enteng Kabisote. Hahaha, Nicco was already there when the mall was just opening. He was the only there when I had arrived, so we waited for the rest at Storyland. Hahaha, when we found out that Ferson, Mish, Nikki and Tamtam (sp?) had arrived, we told them that because they were late, they should try looking for us. Hahahahaha!

"First clue: Hanapin mo yung pinakamalaking bench!"
"Second clue: Nasa isang platform!"

We went window-shopping for a while, and I even introduced Nikki and Mish to my favorite store, hehehe. We then had lunch at Tokyo Tokyo. Nyahahaha, because I was craving for sushi, I had a quick eye for looking for empty tables.

After going around, we returned to Storyland for their dose of videoke, plus to meet up with Mai and Glenn. Then after a quick snack at the supermarket, we decided to head over to ATC so we can watch the movie there instead.

Hahaha, the minute we arrived at ATC and were standing in front of National Bookstore, the first person I ran into was Tita Menchu! My golly, I missed that woman.

Anyway, we went to the cinemas and bought tickets to the 8:40 screening of Enteng Kabisote. Holy kamote, way too much time to kill, so we hung around at Food Choices while we waited for Majo (with another friend of theirs) and Drei (with brother Eric).

We got our butts moving to Timezone then sometime during the evening and killed the rest of our free time there before we returned to the cinemas.

Too lazy to write a review for Enteng Kabisote just yet. Maybe later.

Hehehe, so here are the pics of our Tagaytay trip, courtesy of Aris' camera...
