another long update
I'm back once again for my weekly update, hahaha.
So the 2nd week of Beauty and the Beast is finally over. 3 more to go.
It was actually a nice surprise to see unexpected people turn up at the theater. What do I mean by unexpected, you ask? Well, take for example, at least 2 of my old high school classmates had come to watch the show this week on two separate occasions. And I never expected they would be the type to be found in the theater, hahaha.
Per usual, I spend most of my time in the lobby during the shows, sometimes peeking inside to check out my favorite scenes or scenes I haven't seen yet (starting from the Prologue up until before "Me"). Hahaha, once again, just talking and eating in the lobby, but now I bring a book with me to pass the time. Hahaha, just last Saturday, Mr. C had noticed me reading, and gave me a new book to read (Thanks, Sir Ed!), so I have that other book lined up next.
Last Saturday (or was it Friday? I keep forgetting what day of the week it is), I went backstage to deliver something to Bea. I found Jett outside the artists entrance, half-dressed in his costume with prosthetics on (minus the Beast wig). He said hi, and told me that he hardly sees me. Hahahaha, Jett, that's because I don't work backstage for this production; I stay at the front-of-house. I also added that I miss being backstage. After those words had left my mouth, I realized how true that feeling was. I miss the crazy action backstage. How everything runs like clockwork. Watching the cast do playtime onstage. The crazy things you happen to hear from the other dressing rooms (even though I hear the craziest things already in the office).
I wonder if they'll let me work backstage for next year's Aida.
KC's family came to watch the show yesterday. And not just the immediate family, mind you. Even the senator's parents were there and others as well. And little Frankie was so adorable when she stepped into the lobby. She was dressed in this little yellow gown that was a replica of what her older sister wears in the show.
Shoutouts to Lye, Ting, Anna, Rain, Tricia and Marion. Thanks for watching the show!
Oh yeah, while I'm still doing shoutouts, here's another one for Teenee the wineglass!
I visited some friends early last week, and did my usual drama of feeling out of place, but realized that nothing much has changed, but some people had definitely moved on. Two days after that, I got a text from Rain, saying how he felt that things were different now. Hahaha, we were thinking the same thing that very week.
Then I got to talk to Nikki on the phone last night. She mentioned the time that I said that I always happen to be with different groups of friends every year, and she admitted that she got kinda annoyed with what I said then. Actually, when I said that before, that was the time that I realized that I've been learning to how to deal with withdrawal, and accepted how things will happen. And then she said that she hoped that this would be a first for me to stay with some friends longer than usual. Heck, doncha worry, Nikki, I'd miss you too much. The rest too, but seeing how they have seemed to move on, I'm not too sure.
Hahahaha, by the way, aside from that, Nikki and I had the most interesting conversation last night. More to come tomorrow, I hope.
I'm getting hungry. Again. Hahahaha, Ate Sally and I have been food-tripping all day. We got 3 boxes of pizza earlier at the office and devoured 2 boxes with Kuya Boni, then Ate Alona baked us brownies. Yum. But I'm getting fatter, rawr. I weighed myself last Thursday when we weighed the picture frame that we had to FedEx, and I gained weight. And getting extra boxes of doughnuts every week isn't helping a bit. After this show's run, when Ate Sally takes her leave, I'll return to my old eating habits.
I'm out for now. Til the next update.

Thanks for the shout out on your blog :) I read your comment on mine...Mind you, I disabled the comment feature just for you :) Hope you like the show so far. How come you got moved to front-of-house? I have no idea how to attach links to friends' blogs on my blog...does that make me a cyber idiot? Ha-ha :)
