Entries for January, 2006

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!

I'd just like to share the first photos of the year, because my brother and I get a little crazy with the camera during this time of the year, hahaha.

(Open sesame! Happy new year!)

Hehehe, so it's back to another lazy day today.

By the way, I have to plug this.

Kyla had texted me last week saying that The Blend CD is out.

This is a compilation of acapella tracks made by Jam 88.3, featuring the Akafellas and other acapella groups. The Bystanders are also part of the CD! Woohoo!

Get a copy now! It's only P250, hehehe. I bought my copy on the day it was released, but I only listened to it yesterday. It's a great CD, so go go go! =P And yes, Kassy, you too, hehehe.

My brother will be moving to a condo in Greenhills tomorrow, probably until he goes back to California on the 16th. It's Ate Maui's condo, actually.

My brother did mention the condo sometime earlier this week, and asked if I wanted to move in there. Because it was breakfast time and I was still kinda sleepy, I refused the offer without thinking, saying that the place was too far. Just today, when Kuya brought up the subject that he was moving in tomorrow, that's when I realized that the place wasn't really that far in relation to Makati, where I work. Well, he did say that I can stay over anytime during the time he's going to be there.

Hmmm... Maybe I could ask him, Ate Maui and my 'rents if I could stay in the condo. We'll see.

Oh yeah, Kuya's also leaving his old laptop with me, yay. Though one drawback is that it's cracked on both sides, rawr. Before he got his new laptop, it was only cracked on the left side. But after getting it back from Trixie (Ate Maui's youngest sister), I discovered a crack on the right side as well. Rawr. Plus it was sort of botched up because she wasn't maintaining it well. Oh well, a little fix here and there won't be a prob.

Chatting with Mimay and Nicco right now. I miss these late night chats, hehehe.

Yesterday, I had plans to have dinner with Ari after work. Sometime in the afternoon, I found that Drei and Nicco were in Glorietta and they called me up a few minutes before I was about to leave the office. I ended up riding with them back to the south. We were about to go up to Timezone for a regular dose of Percussion Master when we ran into Ari near Fridays. So I had to leave the guys and went inside Fridays with Ari.

Yay, thanks for the pasta, dearie!

*By the way, no, we're not back together. We get along better as friends.

Anyway, I had promised Nicco and Drei that I'd treat them to a movie, regardless that I'd be with them or not. So I left Fridays for a while and went up to Timezone, where I found them still at it with Percussion Master, with Carla and Leon looking on. Man, I missed being around Carla. And now I got to meet that famous Leon, hahaha. Anyway, gave Drei the cash, checked out their game for a while, and joined in for the snapshot because they got the highest score in one of the songs, hahaha.

When I went back inside Fridays, I found Ari sitting at a different table, with Jamie and Jenny. We found them enter a few minutes after we did, and they had their own table after I had said hello to both. So now we're sitting at one table. It was an interesting combination. Jenny as the perky and chatty girl; Ari as the flirty and chatty guy; Jamie the quiet guy with the witty one-liners; and me... as the quiet spectator (as usual, hahaha). It was so amusing how Ari and Jenny clicked. Heeheehee...

We were going on and on for about a couple of hours when Drei called again. Apparently they were still at Timezone. I had expected that I'd meet them after they had watched a movie, but things didn't turn out that way. As it turned out, they were actually waiting for me so I can go watch a movie with them. Nyak. I hate it when I have to spontaneously juggle things because they never go the way I had mapped them out. Grrr...

Of course, as Pam had once said, I'm the girl who never learned how to say no. So when I met up with the guys at the cinemas (along with Erik), we ended up watching Mourning Girls. The movie was OK, it was funny, but it was kinda hard to watch because you feel as if you're going deaf because there was hardly any musical scoring. We kept complaining about it the whole time.

I assumed today would be a pretty good day, hahaha. We've been cracking ourselves up the whole day, specially when Ate Sally cousin, Ate Rose, had dropped by in the afternoon. I also got to pick up a box of products from Avon. It was supposed to be for the company, but before Ate Sally had put it away, she let everyone check it out and get what we wanted. Yay, I got a couple of stuff for my mom as well.

Went to CSB after work to meet with Pam and Miss Cindy. Rain and Anthony were supposed to go as well, but they both had to work overtime, so I was the official representative, ahahaha.

I just found out that CSB Filipinescas is now called Benildanz, interesting. So anyway, I guess I'm gonna be involved in about 4 of their shows, one of which is their major show in CCP in October.

Even though someone isn't my favorite person in the world, it was mighty flattering how she praised me this evening. Though comparing me to other people was totally tactless and rude. Oh well.

Once again, let me say that it annoys me when I have to spontaneously have to juggle everything to accomodate everyone. During the meeting with Miss Cindy, Nicco and Drei were asking me to go to the condo. Ahehehe, of course, I completely ignored my phone all throughout the evening so as not to be rude. By the time I was outside school walking to Madison, I found Nicco, Drei, Erik and Mervin walking towards my direction, and invited me to go with them to watch another movie. Oh well, I had to decline, sorry boys.

The bus ride home was interesting starting from the moment I managed to grab a seat. Kassy was on the same bus! Hahaha, after all those messages about planning to have coffee together, we finally managed to find some talk time, and on a bus, of all places. It's cool we finally got together. More time next time, okie? I can't wait for the 20th!

By the way, as mentioned in my previous entry, Kuya's old laptop is now mine, woohoo! I've been tinkering with it since last night since I came home so now I've fixed all the setting according to my preferences. As long as it has a burner, DVD player and all that stuff, I'm content with that.

It showed lots of ways to lace your shoes and tie the laces. Que amusing.

Lookie!

It's Terie on Dogster!

Heeheehee, I was introduced to Dogster by Rosa just today, when she showed me the accounts of Makie, Sushie and their dad Snowie.

My mom and I went to South Mall this afternoon to go shoe shopping. We had initially planned to go shopping yesterday, but because my uncle and cousin had dropped by for a visit then, we decided to postpone it for today.

The moment we arrived in South Mall, I found out that Michaelangelo was going to be there for a mall show, so I asked Shai if she'll be there. She then also asked me as well if I was going to watch. I wasn't really sure then, because my mom and I were planning to go to church right after shopping.

Hahaha, while I was browsing through this rack of clothes that were on sale on the lower ground floor while my mom was buying waffle dogs, I heard a "Psst, psst..." next to me. Sure enough, it was Shai and Cocoy, hahaha. Anyway, a brief moment to say hi, and then I was back to browsing the rack while they went on their merry way. I had my eye on a couple of tops when they had arrived, and I quickly grabbed them before anyone else did, hahaha.

Anyway, after my mom and I went to church, I finally had my hair cut. Hahaha, I was getting kinda frustrated maintaining long hair with layers, so I wanted to get rid of the long layers. Once again, like last year, I had at least 4 inches chopped off.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I know I'm going to miss my long hair, but this works with me for now. Hahaha, at least I'll save time and electricity blow-drying my hair.

I'm watching Narnia tomorrow. I don't care if no one goes with me, hahaha, as long as I get to watch it tomorrow.

I got this from Lye's blog. I liked it, and I want it too, hahaha.

  • I want this guy who will text you every single morning and tell you good morning and every single night to tell you sweet dreams.
  • I want this guy who will text you and tell you "I love you and you make me smile" just because.
  • I want this guy who will blindfold you, take you to the beach and let you run your toes through the sand then make you guess where we are.
  • I want this guy who will show up at your games (or competitions or meets) without you knowing just to surprise you. (Hmm... it would've been nice if I had a boyfriend back when I was in track, hahaha.)
  • I want this guy who will hold you when you're crying and wipe away your tears.
  • I want this guy who still thinks you're beautiful with no makeup on wearing sweats and a big T-shirt.
  • I want this guy who won't pressure you to do things you dont want to. (Hear, hear!)
  • I want this guy who will show up at your house with soup and a movie when you aren't feeling well.
  • I want this guy who kisses you on the forehead.
  • I want this guy who doesn't kiss and tell.
  • I want this guy who actually listens to you when you talk.
  • I want this guy who's excited all day because I'm looking forward to our date that night.
  • I want this guy who is content to just be able to hold you and wants nothing more. (And to think that I enjoy those simple stuff.)
  • I want this guy who can't help but smile when you walk into the room.
  • I want this guy who's perfectly content with staying in and watching movies and cuddling. (Oooh, I love cuddling, heeheehee.)
  • I want this guy who won't lie to you about where he's going or where he's been or who he's been with.
  • I want this guy who gets butterflies when he hears your name.
  • I want this guy who's not afraid to tell his friends he loves you.
  • I want this guy who isn't always trying to act like a hard ass around you. (Or someone who isn't always trying to act like a hard ass, period.)
  • I want this guy who doesn't care about your imperfections and loves you more for them.
  • I want this guy who will hold you while we watch the sunset. (Man, I miss watching the sunset.)
  • I WANT THIS GUY WHO REALLY WANTS TO MAKE YOU THE HAPPIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD.

Oh yeah, a girl can truly dream. There goes the dream guy...

I didn't get to watch Narnia today, rawr. Drei had asked if we could watch it all together on Thursday. So tonight Drei, Nicco and I saw King Kong instead.

I feel so bummed that I didn't get to watch the 3pm Narnia screening last Sunday at Rockwell. When I read the blogs of Jamie and Eli, I was sort of jealous when I found out that the cast of all 3 runs of Trumpets' The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe were there.

Waaah... I miss the Narnians from the 3rd run. I miss the people, the action, the environment...
Posted by tymeless on January 10, 2006 at 12:03 AM | How's my acting?
I know this sounds pretty trivial, and some of you may have some answer, but hey, it just popped into my head.

What is it with people and Havaianas? I mean, they go out and spend a lot of money for a pair of rubber flip-flops, even though they can get it at a cheaper price? Yeah, OK, they have the brand name or something, but all I can see is that they're rubber slippers. Everyone wears them. When you wear the same rubber at home, they're called tsinelas. Sell them at this store in the mall, paint it in crazy designs, give it some name that rocks, and suddenly they cost so much?

That's why I enjoy shopping with Peachy, hahaha. When we look at stuff like that, she's the type that picks something up, takes a good look at it, puts it back and says, "I can make it myself at home." And sure enough, she comes up with something that looks even better.

Of course, one thing I hate about shopping with Peach is that she's totally contagious. If she shops, I end up buying stuff as well, hahaha.

Once on This Island re-opens on the 20th! With the same powerful cast, woohoo! Well, except for the guy who plays Daniel. This time, Gian's taking on that role. Coolness.

Speaking of the 20th... (Kassy, I'll just copy and paste, okie?)

I'm finally going to watch Narnia tomorrow. For real this time, hahaha. No more postponing. If other people's plans fall through, I'm still watching and I don't care if I go alone, hahaha.

Speaking of alone, I went to Timezone alone earlier this afternoon before I went home from work. Now I know why I like ATC better than Glorietta, hahaha. Not much people lingering at the front entrance. I was supposed to play Percussion Master first, but there were too many poseurs hanging around in front of that area, as well as those watching Percussion Freak (which the die-hard drummers prefer and hog to themselves). After a few rounds of Bishibashi, a couple of courses in Mario Kart and a hopeless game of House of the Dead, the finally left, hahaha. Of course, after a couple of rounds, I just had to embarass myself by playing against this huge yuppie guy with glasses who actually had Percussion Master all memorized, hahaha. That's when I decided to get my bum moving and go home.

Hehehe, I never really played much at Timezone when I'm with friends. I'd just be this mere spectator (except for Bishibashi) until after a couple of urging to play Percussion Master for the first time. I realized that I actually enjoyed going there alone, hahaha. Maybe because there weren't any hassles of looking for the rest of the group I was with.

Ooooh, a lot of free time this evening. Time to pop in those DVDs of Getbackers.

    Written January 11, 2006, 23:30

I feel so lost... Like I don't belong anywhere. I hate it.

"Don't bother doing ___ if you're just going to ___."

Oh, I could say that to a lot of people right now in a lot of different ways. Some are just people I meet on the street, some are acquaintances, and surprisingly, just now, some of them are friends.

I hardly ever spend my time brooding. I've been that way for years. But it's happening pretty often lately.

It seems as if everything's changing too much and too fast for me to keep up that everyone has left me behind.

I want to get away. Away from everyone and everything familiar. Just so I could be the only change I'm aware of.

As I've said to some of you before, I'll just make my own plans.

I guess listening to Seussical this week was already a sign. Alone in the universe. I feel like one of the characters that suddenly felt like nobodys.

    Written January 12, 2006, 23:15

I have this habit of brooding then acting as if "past is past" so it looks like everything's all right even though I'm not completely over it.

I noticed how plastic I can be just to make my friends content. I feel like such an evil person.

Anyway, that's what I was like today, hehehe. After work, went to Timezone to pour out some frustrations on House of the Dead, Mario Kart and Percussion Master. Then met up with Nikki so we can watch Narnia together.

Narnia... All throughout the film, I would remember what I had read a million times from my copy of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Sometimes I would remember what it was like in the musical.

And when I recalled the story's events based on the musical, I would find myself chuckling to myself, recounting everything that had happened in this particular scene, who was doing what role, stuff like that. Tito Audie and Meynard as Aslan. Tita Menchu and Tita Carla as the Witch. Franco and Paolo as Peter, Camille, Crisel and Tanya as Susan, Sam and Inaki as Edmund, Moreen and Alexa as Lucy.

Ever since I first read the book, I loved the chemistry between Lucy and Mr. Tumnus. In the movie, I adored Mr. Tumnus' eyes, hahaha! And Susan was really as stubborn as I had imagined, being too cautious of everything. (It's no wonder why she didn't survive the 7th book in the Chronicles.) Lucy was adorable for being so determined and always game. Those instances with her knife were pretty hilarious! Plus her one-liner comebacks were pretty witty.

Too bad they didn't show how the snow had melted into the spring. In both the book and in the musical, they both showed how they enjoyed seeing the spring come in. ("It's a miracle... called Spring!" HAHAHAHAHA!) Darn it, I can still remember myself pulling, tugging and struggling with the "snow" underneath that darn revolve in the Meralco theater along with Carmen and the rest of the crew. That was where I got myself re-acquainted with Gilbert (paging Chevy!), repeatedly got whipped in the eye with a bird-tail, and being caught under an avalanche of the "snow" due to broken rope.

My golly, the element of surprise was always with the wolves. From their first appearance right on up to before Peter's encounter with them. Hahaha, Nikki, who had already seen the film once, still yelped and jumped in her seat during those moments.

I loved the film. I want to watch it again. Maybe this weekend.

Last night, Ari had said he would stop by my house before he goes off to work. And yep, he did. We hung around outside my house, just talking.

It was pretty surreal seeing him there in my turf, but I actually enjoyed the company. My week has been pretty crappy, and before last night, the only stuff that made me happy was playing at Timezone and watching Narnia.

So we were just there, sitting on the trunk of Ari's car, just talking. Told him about how my week had sucked, and he told me about his experiences about dating Jenny for a week now. After my brother had arrived from Ate Maui's house and parked the car in the garage, my mom even offered Ari a drink from the store.

Now that was even more surreal, my mom hated Ari for the longest time until after I had made her realize they were sitting next to each other during the opening night of Greenstage's Beauty and the Beast.

Of course, when I first introduced him to Terie, the pup just stared then barked at him, which he hardly does to most strangers. Since I didn't want to make too much noise, I put Terie back in the kitchen, but he licked Ari's hand before I took him, hahaha. So maybe the next time he drops by, they'll be friends.

Once again, my week's been saved by one of life's simple joys of just hanging around and talking with a good friend. Thanks, dearie.

I found some old photos in my old files that I had slipped into my laptop, recently downloaded from a couple of friends.

Hehehe, Tricia's currently using a photo of herself high-fiving a statue of Ronald McDonald (her pal "Ronnie", hahaha!), and I remembered some photos Cris had emailed from one of our "fashion trips" at Glorietta last September 22nd.

Script reading for Doubt was held today. Ate Sally and I had reserved the building's function room last week and planned a simple pizza order for them to feed on.

So when the time came closer, Chari's loud knock sounded on our office door, and after a couple of requests from Joel, I asked the security guard if the room was ready. He had asked for the permit, so I had to return to the office to get it. On my way back to the guard, I ran into Bituin and Mio, who were actually on the way to the reading. So I herded them up to the room after handing the permit to the guard.

Bito: [after getting off the top floor and found stairs leading up to the function room] Yuck... Stairs.

OK, before this day, Rich had wanted to have a picture taken with TJ and even Bito, so I brought my camera with me for her to use. For the life of me, I had no idea who TJ Trinidad was aside from being Bobby's cousin, so after hearing that he was good-looking from a few friends, I did a little research. To save myself from embarassment in case I don't recognize him, I checked out a few scenes of Gulong ng Palad last Friday evening, hahaha! OK, so he's a looker, but I guess because he's mestizo, plus his eyes look a lot like my boss', in a way.

Anyhoo, after a quick lunch, I quickly left to order pizzas for the cast and the creative team, then returned to the office to pick up Rich. Ate Sally had told her to help me with the food (heck, it was only a couple of pizza boxes) so she can have an excuse to have her picture taken. Kuya Boni went with us as well, bringing water for everyone.

Hahaha, everyone was actually waiting for the food to arrive when we got upstairs. So we put the pizza and water on the side table, and then I noticed that Rich was already following Kuya Boni back out the door because she was suddenly stricken with shyness. To give her some spine, I tried to herd her back inside but she stubbornly stayed put. Ahehehe, so I went over to Bito and asked if Rich could have a picture taken with her. She obliged and willingly posed for the photo.

Once again, Rich inched away, so I grabbed her by the arm and whispered once again to Bito that she also wanted a pic with TJ. I didn't notice he was the only one quietly sitting in a chair, because the rest had immediately went to the pizza to have their fill. So Bito called him and I asked him if he could have a photo taken with Rich. Hahaha, he immediately flipped his hair and fixed it, then posed for the pic. I was suppressing my laughter so much that I could hardly press the camera trigger.

(Rich with half the Doubt cast)

After work, I met up with Mish because we both had a craving for bagoong rice. Rawr, when we got to Wok Dis Way, bagoong rice wasn't available, so we had to settle for something else. Then we had the usual dose of Starbucks while we waited for Jhoi and Drei's class to end.

By the by, I got a text from Kyla earlier today. Not only will I be attending the gig in the CSB theater on Friday evening, but I will also help sell the Blend CD, ahehehe. So Benildeans and other people going to the gig, even though the event is mostly alternative, please support acapella music and get a copy of the CD.

To perk me up yesterday morning, I took my camera and tried to bug our pup to pose for me. Terie seemed energetic very early in the morning when he first sees me, but by the time I got the camera out, he was already out of it...

    Image hosted by Photobucket.com

"Darn it, why did you have to take candid photos of me so early in the morning?"

    Image hosted by Photobucket.com

"MMMmmm... is that breakfast I smell?"

    Image hosted by Photobucket.com

"It's not yet ready? Maybe I'll take a nap first."

Yay, Tita Beng had decided to let Terie stay at home instead of bringing him with her to Palawan. The pup's grown close to my parents so that's why Tita Beng decided on that.

    *looks at title*
Well, that's what it says in the script, anyway.

Yesterday evening, I dropped by Madison after work because I didn't feel like going home yet, hahaha.

As it turned out, Drei, Nicco, Blonski and Mervin were going to shoot one of the inserts in Kopihaus # 8, where Eka was going to be a sexy dancer in some cheap bar. Hehehe, given the fact that she was going to be there, I wasn't surprised to see Naomi tagging along.

They decided to shoot it in the condo, and just play with the lighting. But while they were setting up, sparks flew from the halogen light, so we had to make do with the light from Drei's camera.

So Eka got dressed, and the guys experimented with the light until they got it just right...

    (Dance, Eka!)

After the shoot and a quick recording of voice-overs, we were done. That's when Eka and Omi decided to make good use of the time harassing Nicco once again, hahaha. Nicco, that whole act you did at the condo was hilarious. You're learning something new everyday! Hahahaha!

After a while, Drei, Nicco and I got take-out from KFC and settled in front of the TV to watch a DVD of Waiting. Ryan Reynolds is always funny, hehehe. Too bad I didn't get to finish the movie. Oist, let me borrow the video tomorrow, okie?

After an uber busy day at the office yesterday, I went with Teena to CSB for that Straw event at the theater that the Akafellas were part of.

Hahaha, the gig was mostly alternative, and then it's punctuated by pop-capella.

Anyway, when Teena and I arrived at CSB, we had to go through the guard because Kassy had said that our names were listed in the entourage with the bands. Hahaha, I just had to laugh when I saw the Akafellas list. Kassy had listed my name first before anyone else's. HAHAHAHA!

After waiting for a while near the theater lobby, Kassy told us to go to the auditorium, which was turned into a green room for the bands. Spent most of the time just hanging out and talking until finally one of the fellas arrived. It was Reuben, with Nina in tow. Once again, I fell victim to Reubs' arm pinching. Teena had the good sense to stay on the other seat next to me. Next ones who arrived were Myke and Jhett, then Karl, then Robi. Then Kyla texted me to say that she and Roger were almost there with the CDs, so Teena and I went downstairs to meet with them. While waiting, Ikey had arrived, so Teena ushered him back up to the auditorium. Finally Ky and Roger appeared, so up we went, and by then Paulo was already there.

Teena and I took the box of CDs to the front of the theater to sell them. Apparently, people were content just looking at the CD, checking out who's part of the album, and then say that they don't have enough money with them. Oh well. Hopefully Sunday at the Jazz Festival will turn out better.

Yay, a lazy Saturday today so I got to sleep in. Peachy had invited me to sit in at their rehearsals today, but when I woke up, it was way past their call time, hahaha. Maybe next time, Peach.

I managed to chance upon the flick Harriet the Spy on HBO just a while ago, and found myself glued to the TV.

It's been years since I last saw this movie, and I loved the character of Harriet. When I got to read the book, I wanted to be like her. So I ended up writing in notebooks myself, and developed a fetish for them, hahaha.

*Commercial break: Thanks for the notebook you gave yesterday, Teena! And to think that I haven't even used the notebook you gave me before.

Anyway, back to the movie. So yeah, even though it's a kid's flick, I still loved it because Harriet reminds me of part of myself. The one who gets to know some stuff and writes them all down. Good luck to me when people find it, hahaha.

Hahahaha, writing and notebooks became one of my favorite things ever since I first heard of Harriet the Spy.

I felt like a kid again while I was watching the movie, hahaha. Envying how the kids were playing in the park, and coming together to play a clubhouse. Que amusing.

    Segue to

Rewind to last night in the auditorium, hanging out with Kassy, Teena and the Akafellas. Kass suddenly appears at the fellas' side with a couple of girls in tow, requesting for a photo with guys. I noticed how those kids look uber young, ahahaha. My golly, I remember how I used to gawk at boybands back in high school, hahaha.

    Segue to

Rosa got to watch the Backstreet Boys last night!!! Hahahahaha... she went with Aris, Josh and Mavic, and I totally envy them.

Back to listening to Seussical the Musical again. I have yet to write a couple of stuff later, plus read Mimay's script.

Yesterday, I went to Harbour Square for the Jazz Festival. The fellas were performing there, so we could sell copies of The Blend CD. I had arranged to meet with Teena and Kassy at Figaro across CCP.

By the time I got to Taft, I was debating with myself whether to take one of the orange jeeps or just walk the whole way. Then I suddenly decided to walk because it was still pretty early, and there's hardly any sun out. Plus the fact that I don't have change for the jeep, hahahaha.

When I was about to cross Roxas Boulevard, I thought I heard someone say my name. When I looked to my left, I spotted Hendri inside a cab, on his way to CCP as well. He gestured to meet him after crossing Roxas, so we met outside Figaro. As it turned out, he was also meeting up with Chari at the coffee shop because they were going to watch the play Gee-Gee at Waterina.

Sat and talked with Hendri first while waiting for Teena, and I even got to meet Gibbs, a friend of his that just arrived.

When Kassy arrived, that was the only time I had noticed that Tamille was just sitting at the table behind me! Hahaha, so I told Hendri that I'd move to the next table. By that time, Chari and Abi had arrived, then Abi told me about updates on the website.

When Teena arrived, we talked for a little while longer, then we got a text from Kyla saying that the boys were at Starbucks near the stage, so we went there. Sure enough, we found them huddled in one corner of couches, just rehearsing. We sat at the table behind them, and I finally got to meet Dan. Apparently he's also a part of a singing group and I kept bugging him to sing something, hahahaha.

I love the ambience of that Starbucks branch, hehehe. It made me miss the times I would go to CCP.

Anyway, Teena, Kassy, Tamille and I spent most of the time talking. Dan mostly hung around at the edge and listened to the boys. When Kyla arrived, we took out the box of CDs from Teena's car.

Kevyn Lettau was there! Hahaha, for most of her set, she was barefoot right there on the stage.

The boys only got to sing 3 songs, including Al Jarreau's "Spain" (Jillie, remember "kick yer ass"? HAHAHAHA!) and a classic fave of mine, "Under My Skin". After their short set, they got to have a bite to eat, and when we joined them, this guy named Noli from another group (whose hair made me think of him as Dong Allegre, hahaha) was doing these card tricks. Santa banana, he's freaky! Reminds me of Myron's crazy magic tricks, rawr.

Kyla and the guys left afterwards, so Teena, Kassy and I (Tamille had left before the guys began their set) went to Tapa King to eat. We got into this really interesting conversation, and after dinner, we sat outside the venue and continued our talk until I had to fly back to the south to ATC. I wanted to watch Narnia again and my cousin wanted to watch it as well, so we had decided to catch the last full show.

Teena suddenly decided to take on another crazy trip and took both Kassy and I back to the south. Hahaha, that's when Kass had shed off half her poise and the real her appeared. Too much "caramel machato," hahahahaha!

When I got to ATC, I went directly to Powerbooks to wait for Grace. I had settled on a seat near the window, when a girl approached the girl on the table next to mine. It was Ging! I haven't seen her since our first year of Playshop. It was our class' resident Diva, hahaha. I finally met her sister Angela (whom I've only known online) in person.

When it was almost time for Grace to get out of work, I walked to the cinemas and ran into Paolo this time. I had no idea he owns Hoops! Hahaha. Donuts, yummm...

When Grace had finally appeared, we suddenly ran into Barry. Wheeee! I'm seeing friends that I haven't seen in ages! It was such a thrill to see them again. Too bad I only got to say a hello to Barry. He's one guy I really miss.

Anyway, that's it for this entry. I need to send a couple of emails right now.

Hehehe, I came across an article in the Philippine Star last Friday, which was sort of a review of Wicked. A contributor that happened to be a fan of the musical got to go to the Gershwin just to see the show.

It suddenly put me in the mood again, hahaha. Oooh, I wish everything would be done with and approved. I can't wait for next year.

    Check out my desktop, ahahahaha...

    Woohoo! Hahaha...

My golly, this post is just too trivial.

Thursday, I had meet up with Mimay and her friends because she got me involved in this thesis that a couple of them (Irene and Sheena) are doing.

I met up with Mimay and her friend Nina at Powerbooks Live as soon as I got out of the office. Found them on the floor in the farthest left corner of the kids' section, reading children's books. Most of them, or I think all, were by Shel Silverstein. I joined them and flipped through a couple of Dr. Seuss books, Horton Hears a Who and Yertle the Turtle and other Stories. A couple of stories were used in Seussical the Musical, and I suddenly heard the songs play in my head while I was reading, hahaha.

Then they handed me a couple more books. The Missing Piece and The Missing Piece Meets The Big O. Aw, those were cute. And The Giving Tree was great as well. Of course, the best book we found was the one with Runny Babbit in the title. It took us quite a while to read that one, hahaha.

Nicco had messaged me earlier that day, asking what I was up to after work, so he managed to join us. When he arrived at Powerbooks (of course, I had to give him directions just for him to get there, hahaha), we got him to read the two Missing Piece books, then we went to Food Choices at Glorietta.

Irene and Sheena had arrived after a while, so I finally got to talk to them in person.

Sheena: Oh, no, she's too pretty for Barbie.

Hmmm... OK, so that's a compliment, right? Should I back out now so you can get the type of girl you want? Hahahaha, peace.

Those two were actually pretty cool. They were already offering to buy me food that evening, but because I was too full from all the pandesal I bought for the office that afternoon, I had to refuse. When I said I wasn't going to eat, they decided not to eat as well. Oh well. Anyway, they kept checking stuff like my hair, and if I can do this and that, and then they got me to read a couple of lines from the script. When everything was all set and everyone was done eating, we all parted ways.

Mimay, Nicco and I then ended up at Gloria Jeans. Whee, my good ole white chocolate oreo and the couches with a couple of good ole friends. Perfect.

Friday, which was technically yesterday, I told Kassy during the morning that I was planning to hang out at Starbucks at Harbour Square after work, and invited her to come along. We also invited Teena, who at first had plans, but rearranged her schedule so she could join us. Tamille also made it, yay, so it's the four of us again.

By the time I arrived, all three of them were already there, and Teena was waiting for her planner to be given to her. When she got it, she instantly opened it and started filling it up. More talk, punctutated with my humming of Avenue Q songs that Teena joined in. When we had our fill of a few stories and coffee, we went to Tapa King for dinner. Well, Teena and Kassy anyway, because I made the mistake of eating too much pandesal in the office for the 2nd day in a row, hahaha. More stories, and even a bit of doodling on paper napkins, until I had to go to Madison.

Saw a few episodes from the Joey DVD with Drei, Nicco and Cris while eating (finally, hunger had arrived). When Aliya dropped by, we were left by with a giddy Drei (hahaha!) and we suddenly put him in the hot seat just because of trivial reasons. Once again, this is where I saw the advice-giving from one torpe to another. Hahaha! These guys are so hilarious.

    (Pics, anyone?)

Time to turn in. I'll see you guys online after lunch.

    *Looks at title* Yeah...

When I checked my phone a few minutes after I arrived at the office, I noticed a text message waiting for me. It was from Nikki, asking me to come along on February 16th. It totally slipped my mind what was going on during that day. She suddenly reminded me about the gig I helped the Bystanders get, which was a high school prom.

Wait, did Nikki just ask me to tag along to a PROM? Well, as it turned out, Remus and the rest of the group can bring guests with them. Well, we'll see. It's a formal event, and dressing up for those takes me a while, hahaha!

Then when I was supposed to send a fax to Bobby's Hong Kong apartment, to my surprise, a woman's voice answered the phone! Usually at that time of the day, there was no one to answer the phone so the fax just sounds out. I thought I had dialed the wrong number, but relief, the voice kept talking and it registered in my brain that it was Chari, hahaha. Thank goodness she had answers to the questions that Ate Sally and I have been wondering about. Thanks, Chari.

Then before lunch, I got a text message from Kassy, saying that she's in the Greenbelt area all day. Hahaha, talk about all day. The whole afternoon, she would text me where she was. She had been to Coffee Bean, M Cafe, Max Brenner, Italianni's and back again to Coffee Bean. We decided to meet at that last venue when I got out of the office, so we did.

While we were still talking away at Coffee Bean, I got a text from Nicco once again asking where I was and if I was going anywhere. So I let him join us at the coffee shop, and introduced him to Kassy. He mentioned that Drei, Blonski and Mervin will also be going to Makati, so we stayed and hung around. Then Nicco left for Glorietta to meet with Merv.

After a while, Kassy had to go home, so I walked with her to the terminal, then joined the guys at Glorietta 4. Nyak, they instantly decided to watch a movie, to my usual surprise. Every time these guys are in the area, they always decide to watch a movie. Don't they know anything else to do? Aside from playing at Timezone, that is.

Anyway, we ended up watching The Maid. It wasn't bad. The script was OK, and the whole suspense-scary shock is all in the beginning. I think it was meant to shake you up before you start riding along with the story, hahaha.

Well, I'm out for now. I'm getting sleepy, and annoyed. DAD, PLEASE PUT THE PHONE LINE IN MY ROOM IF YOU GUYS DON'T WANNA BE BOTHERED, OK??
